Smart, Sexy & Funny
Actress, comedian, and author the beautiful Aisha
Tyler does it all. The Ivy League educated Aisha is an actress
who found success in a roundabout way. After becoming a hit
on the standup circuit, she landed a sweet gig as the host of
E! Network’s “Talk Soup” which in turn led
to an increase in acting offers, which is what she had been
looking for in the first place. Among these jobs was her reoccurring
role on “Friends” as Ross’ love interest of
the season, paleontologist Charlie Wheeler. Around this time,
Tyler also became an accomplished writer. After gaining experience
by contributing articles for Glamour and Jane Magazine, Tyler
took the next big leap of her career and authored her first
book, Swerve:
Reckless Observations of a Postmodern Girl.

Always Hard at Work
Last year’s WB reality series, "The Surreal Life,"
a show that takes seven celebrities no longer in the spotlight,
and forces them to live together in a single house, is back
with all new stable of former stars. In this second edition
of the show, these Hollywood types must attempt to survive one
another without cell phones, agents, or personal assistants.
Among these house guests is former porn star Ron
Jeremy. How did this every-man become a superstar in adult
cinema? Let's just say he possesses biological and anatomical
gifts that helped him rise to legendary status. Though we won't
be going into detail here, if you'd like to learn more visit
your local video store or catch an episode of “The
Surreal Life” every Sunday on the WB where Ron will
hang with the likes of Tammy Faye Messner, Erik Estrada, Vanilla
Ice, Traci Bingham, and the “Real World’s”
Trishelle. |

Comedy With a
Moral Twist
After spending his first fifteen years in comedy spiraling downward
into a world of drugs and alcohol, Jeff
Allen hit bottom. It was at that point that he decided it
was time to clean up his act... literally. Now he's seen playing
clubs as well as prayer breakfasts with his funny, yet "squeaky
clean," brand of standup comedy that helps people to take
life a little less seriously.

Tom, and never fails to entertain with classics songs like "The
Oyster Song," "Out Drinkin'"
(which appears on the new album Camel
Toe), and
"Youre There."

The Platypus Man,
Richard Jeni
Comedian Richard
Jeni has come a long way from being the young college kid,
continuously bombing at his local comedy club. Now he's doing
it on a much larger scale in front of a much bigger audience.
Standup comedy that is, not bombing. Jeni's act is one of the
best in the business and his hour-long cable specials have earned
him numerous awards. Many of them rank among the most popular
and most watched comedy specials ever to air on cable. His first
HBO special, Platypus Man,
was such a huge hit that it spawned a UPN sitcom of the same
name. Jeni has spent time in front of the camera as an actor,
starring in hit films like The
Mask with Jim Carey, and on the small
screen performing in various commercials. He's written and starred
in ads for Arby's, Certs, and Office Max, as well as a Clio
award winning stint with the Milk Association.
FACTOID
- Richard Jeni has appeared on the Tonight Show more times than
any other standup comedian since Jay Leno became host. He's
been on with Carson and Leno over 20 times total.

Speaking the Truth
Comedian Vince Morris made his first national television appearance
on BET's “Comic View” and since that time has been
headlining comedy clubs all over the country. With his clean yet
controversial material, Morris
doesn't rely on vulgarity or profanity to get audiences to laugh,
he doesn't need to. Morris has got a bright observational humor
and isn’t at all afraid to be ‘in your face,’
because as his father told him “if you tell the truth, what
can people say?” Along with playing clubs, Morris has been
seen on “Showtime at the Apollo,” “The Late
Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” Comedy Central's “Premium
Blend,” and “Sex and the City.”

Nice To Meet You
You're Fired
One’s a wealthy business tycoon, the other’s the
producer of such hit shows as “Survivor” and “The
Amazing Race,” and together they are the driving force
behind NBC’s “The Apprentice.” Real estate
mogul Donald
Trump plays the part of “master” in executive
producer extraordinaire Mark
Burnett’s all new reality series in which tests 16
competitors’ survival techniques in New York City’s
corporate jungle, as they vie for the chance to land a dream
job with the Trump Organization. The sixteen applicants, who
hail from all walks of life, have been separated into two teams
of eight… one of men, and one of women. The teams compete
each week in tough, yet often entertaining, challenges with
the losing squad having to face a grueling interview session
with the Mr. Trump himself. And the best part… they always
end with a firing. “The
Apprentice” airs Thursdays on NBC following “Friends.”
FACTOID
- Mr. Trump’s first autobiography, The
Art of the Deal, has become one
of the most successful business best-sellers of all time, selling
over three million copies, and staying on the best-seller list
for 32 weeks.

The NFL Song: Conference
Championship Edition
We're three weeks into the NFL postseason,
and only the final four teams remain. In a record setting round
of the playoffs, two road teams pulled off huge wins, while
the two top seeds almost lost close ones at home. In what some
are calling the best divisional round of NFL play in history,
we saw Peyton Manning remain in the zone as he and his Colts
defeated the Chiefs, the Titans came up just a few yards short
of upsetting the Patriots, Carolina and St. Louis went double
OT in a shootout with the Panthers coming out on top, and Brett
Favre is second guessing his final pass of the season as he
threw one away to the Eagles in overtime. If you've missed any
of the action thus far you'd better do some catching up because
the playoffs more exciting than ever. Unless you want to wait
a few years for these games to be rebroadcast on ESPN Classics,
there's no better way to rewind all the action of the weekend
than with Duke
Tumatoe's popular, bluesy musical review, The
NFL Song.

| Out
of the Kitchen,
and on the Road
Paul
Gilmartin is known for his comedic poetry, but to television
viewers, he's probably most well recognized for his hosting
duties on the TBS
program Dinner
and a Movie, but before landing
that gig, Gilmartin was an accomplished stand up comedian. He's
taking his act out of the kitchen and back on the road, so he
can once again entertain audiences with his uncanny ability
for rhyme that has spawned such classics as Sister
Joan, Undignified Ways to Die, and
Circus Love.

Have RV, Will Travel
Tom Simmons is somewhat of a rarity in this world, having been
born in New York City and then raised in the south. With this
odd combo as a background, Tom was destined to become a standup
comedian… or spend a lifetime in therapy. To add another
little wrinkle to his delicate mental state, Simmons’ made
the decision early on in his career to travel from gig to gig
in a motor home… with his wife. This wide range of life
experiences, many most of us wouldn't want to imagine, have given
Simmons more than enough material for comedy that even audiences
that live in houses can relate to. Just don't expect him to do
much marriage material... his better half will be out in the parking
lot with the radio on. Check out Tom's
website!

Bill Scheft Funny? You
Bet!
Bill Scheft writes monologues for
The
Late Show with David Letterman, pens the the column "The
Show" in and Sports Illustrated,
and is the author of one of the best novels ever, The
Ringer, but
right now he's first and foremost
a Patriots fan. With that in mind, it would be an understatement
to say he's excited they're only one game away from the Super
Bowl... that is, if they can cool down Peyton Manning. With
all that going for him, and the fact Scheft is one of the most
comically gifted people we've ever had on the show, he ranks
among our favorite guests of all time. In fact, we enjoy his
phone calls so much, we've got a hotline set aside just for
him.
Side Note
- As a recovering "gamble-holic,"
Scheft no longer finds the "I bet I can get you to bet
" game to be all that funny.

Chick Tries His Hand At Cornholing It
has been called many things, corn toss, corn hole game, bean toss,
soft horseshoes, Indiana horseshoes, back yard corn toss and even
(our trademark), The Slopes. But whatever you call it, call it
FUN! It has been said that the game originated in Germany, and
then from the foothills of Kentucky over 80 years ago, and even
our grandfather says his grandfather invented the game, but who
really knows. The truth is, the game is Great Fun for anyone of
any age and much safer than horseshoes. To describe it, we would
classify it as similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes
and corn bags instead of horseshoes. Please browse our site, we
offer many different custom made corn toss sets and many accessories
including bags and cases. website |
