The
Kid is Back
Comedian Jimmy
Pardo demands respect, and maybe some day hell
get it. Even though hes one of the finest standup comedians
working today and he's got a number of impressive credentials
on his resume, Jimmy still feels like audiences, other comedians
and even BOB&TOM dont always give him the love
he deserves. While we always enjoy talking to Jimmy, he's
developed a reputation for getting into fights with the our
other guests, and has been known to walk off the show from
time to time (he claims he only did this once, but we've
got out people looking through the archives to verify). Though "the
kid" is great on the radio, it's his face that's the
real money maker which is why you should make sure to see
Pardo perform live when the opportunity presents itself.
If you can't, you can still see Pardo on the upcoming season
of The Surreal Life on
VH1 and in the movie, The
Godfather of Green Bay.

Steve 'Ain't' White
Don’t let the name fool you, comedian Steve
White is actually an African American. This must confuse quite
a few people because Steve picked SteveAintWhite.com as
his web site domain name. Steve has been featured on The
Oprah Winfrey Show and Evening at the Improv and
has guest stared on ABC’s Hanging with Mr.
Cooper, the film Coming To America with
Eddy Murphy and a number of Spike Lee Joints.

Under Construction
Though Stewart Huff’s
website is currently under construction (or as he puts it, in design
mode), we were able to dig up a little bit of information on this up
and coming stand-up comedian. He’s a clean and clever comic who
covers all kinds of off-the-wall topics ranging from majoring in “Rodeo” in
college to the popularity of Henry VIII. It’s also been reported
that his comedy is very television friendly, however, we were not able
to dig up any television credits, so we’re just going to take their
word for it. We’ll be able to find out for ourselves when Mr. Huff
makes his first appearance on the BOB&TOM Show.

The
Launch of
Amrican Inventor
The show American
Idol has become one of the biggest hits on American Television. This
phenomenon has kept viewers glued to their seats waiting to see who would
win a contest that's basically Karaoke on steroids, while at the same
time spawning best
selling albums, sold out concert tours, and even a Grammy Award winning
artist. The man behind this pop culture machine is executive producer Simon
Cowell, and hes hoping that his next
reality television creation, American
Inventor, will do for ABC what American
Idol has done for FOX. On the show, viewers
will watch as inventors of all ages present their most prized inventions,
featuring everything from the wacky to the heart warming. The series
premieres this Thursday, March 16th on ABC.

Get Physical
Though Carl
LaBove is billed as a stand-up comedian, he considers
himself more of a stand-up storyteller. That’s because
he doesn’t tell jokes so much as he’ll bring
up a topic and then perform a scene about it. And when
he gets going, LaBove doesn’t just tell the story;
he goes into full physical reenactment mode. As you may
have guessed, this style of comedy has helped Carl land
a number of acting gigs including guest appearances on Seinfeld,
Roseanne, The Parenthood, and
a feature role in Ace Ventura:
Pet Detective. More recently,
Carl completed filming on the Pauly Shore film, You'll
Never Wiez in This Town Again.

Surprise,
It's Tim Wilson
When we came in this morning, we had no idea we'd be joined in the studio
by comedian Tim
Wilson. He probably kept it a surprise because he knew a lot of us
would have called in sick had we known in advance. All kidding aside,
Mr. Wilson is one of our absolute favorite guests and he's a a true "friend
of the show." However, no comedian causes more of a stir when they
appear on the air than the southern singer/songwriter. Along with his
music, Wilson is recognized for his love of NASCAR and the state of Georgia
and his distrust of almost everything else. If you need proof, just listen
to the piece The Aggravator,
or his song Church League Softball Fistfight, both
of which can be
found on the album, Happy
Hour.

The
Man Loves to Drive
Over the past 12 years, Carl
Edwards has done two things, drive and win.
Just look at his statistics over that time and
you’ll see he’s been successful at
all of it. He’s accumulated two NASCAR sanctioned
track championships, three Rookie-of-the-Year honors,
and 75 feature wins while racing on both dirt and
pavement tracks across the country. Though he first
broke onto the national scene as a driver for Roush
Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series, he soon made
a name for himself in NASCAR’s Busch and
NEXTEL Cup series. In 2005 alone (his first full
year in both NASCAR series), he won nine NEXTEL
Cup races and five Busch races. Though he began
that year as a virtual unknown, he (and his 99
Office Depot Ford) ended up finishing third in
the standings.

| Here we have the cover of Jim Gaffigan's
new CD, Beyond
the Pale, along with Chick's enhanced version. While Gaffigan
fears the added doodle may frighten children, Chick claims this
new colorful cover would help the comedy album be an even bigger
seller. |

You Might Just Learn Something
It's been a long time since we last visited
with comedian Tim
Bedore (well, seven days to be exact) which is why we're
so eager to have him back on his special line ready to deliver
another exciting edition of Vague
But True. Live from his home in
Minnesota where he's seated comfortably at mission control,
Tim shares his thoughts on life, society, politics and his
day to day activities, presented in the form of in-depth,
entertaining editorials. Over the past year, these musings
have helped us learn a lot about Bedore, including his thoughts
on downloading movies, how woman are the cause of wars, his
time spent at summer camp and his theory on how animals are
trying to wipe out our species.

Around
the Corner Comedy
Eric
Hunter knew he wanted to be a standup comedian since
he got his first laughs at a family reunion at the age
of six. Since then he’s added a few more jokes to
the act and taken them on the road to venues everywhere.
A funny and clean performer, Hunter jokes sarcastically
about various topics, including his friends, his Irish
Catholic family, sports and the wonderful world of relationships.
This will be Hunters first time on the show this year after
his huge three appearance year last year. We guess that
proves that Tim Bedore knows what he's talking about when
he recommends a comedian.
FACTOID -
Eric Hunter helped develop the very successful Carnival
Comedy Challenge-a nationwide comedy talent search for
Carnival Cruise Lines.

Where
America
Turns For News
Comedian Bob Zany may
not realize it by the way we treat him when he calls in, but he's our
most eagerly anticipated guest each week. There are few comedians working
today that have the guts it takes to come on a nationally syndicated
radio show every week and perform all new material. Then to top it all
off, he invites listeners to call in and fix his jokes that some have
deemed 'virtually laugh free.' Sounds fun doesn't it? Catch The
Zany Report every Tuesday so you too can play "Fix
the Joke Baby" where the prize package includes CDs, t-shirts, and
a BOB&TOM VIP membership.

Friend
of the Show, Geechy Guy
If you've heard him speak, you're going
to remember it because Geechy Guy has a voice thats
hard to mistake. You could also say that about his look,
and we mean that in the nicest way. Geechy
Guy is not only a favorite of the show (even though
we haven't seen him in years), he's also been dubbed 'the
master of one-liners' and holds a couple of comedy records
including the record for most jokes told in an hour (676)
and number of times winning the comedy competition on Star
Search (10) back when Ed McMahon
hosted. In fact, one of those wins came against sitcom
superstar Ray Romano Geechy is a television veteran and
has performed on almost every stand-up show imaginable.
Speaking of stand-up shows, Geechy will be taking part
in the upcoming Friends of the BOB&TOM
Show comedy tour this Friday in Rockford, IL and Saturday
in Cincinnati, OH.
PHOTO -Kristi and Geechy were comparing
hand size and noticed that Geechy's hand was a LOT bigger.
He says everything gets lost in his hands, Kristi says her
hands make everything look bigger.

We're
Glad This Guy's on Our Side
Whether he’s playing the President of the United States, or convincing
America that they need to buy more insurance, actor Dennis
Haysbert is great at what he does. Before he could be seen walking
down the middle of the streets or standing near house fires or car crashes
telling people about Allstate, Haysbert was protecting America with the
help of Jack Bauer on the hit series 24.
And though he was unfortunately killed in that series, he has been resurrected
on CBS in a new role that allows him to do some of the ass kicking. On
the new action/drama series The
Unit, Haysbert plays the leader of a special
team of covert operatives. He’s become famous for his television
roles, but Haysbert has also been seen on the big screen in films such
as Major League, Heat, Jarhead, Absolute Power and Waiting to Exhale.
FACTOID – Dennis Haysbert received his first Emmy nomination for
his role as President David Palmer on 24.
