Chick has worked his artistic magic
on Kathleen Madigan's new CD. Breathtaking isn't it?
|
 |
|
In
Other Words
St. Louis native, Kathleen
Madigan has starred in her own HBO and Comedy Central standup
specials, done television pilots, reported for ESPN2, has appeared
on the Tonight Show 12
times, won the American Comedy Award for Best Female
Club Comic, and has filled in for Kristi Lee at the B&T
news desk. With all these credentials, we were as surprised
as anyone when she wasn't the Last
Comic Standing on the hit NBC reality show. However,
she was the only one never to be challenged by her peers. With
over 15 years of experience, Kathleen ranks
among the funniest female comedians ever. She's a regular on
Comedy Central (she's even got a new special which will air
March 25th), pops up on television all the time and recently
released her second CD, Shallow
Happy Thoughts for the Soul, and
her first concert DVD, Live in
Denver.

Larry
The
Health Inspector?
From cable guy to health inspector? Well, it's not a permanent career
change, but Larry
the Cable Guy is taking his act to the big screen when he stars in
his first major motion picture, Larry
The Cable Guy: Health Inspector. Now you may be thinking, 'that guy
is everywhere,' and you'd be right. Larry starred in the sketch comedy
show, Blue Collar TV, he's responsible for two hit concert films, a best-selling
book (Git-R-Done), two
chart topping comedy albums and a multi-platinum DVD special. With that
track record of success, it's a safe bet that Health
Inspector will pack the theaters and make a killing at the box
office, so you'd better grab your sleeping bag and get in line now if
you want tickets.
FACTOID:
Larry's new film also stars friends of the show Tony Hale
(Buster on Arrested Development) and Tom Wilson (Biff from
Back to the Future).

R.O.C.K.
in the NCAA
No musician exemplifies the
Midwest like legendary rock artist John
Mellencamp. With or without the 'Cougar' in
his name, fans have been enjoying his music for
years. From Jack & Diane to Peaceful
World, John has been
evolving his music and expanding his song book
with hit after hit and album after album. His most
recent release, Word's & Music:
John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits,
captures 25 years worth of Mellencamp's best work.
Currently you can see Mr. Mellencamp on CBS during
all of their NCAA Men's Basketball broadcasts because
his song R.O.C.K.
in the USA is the official
theme songs of this year's March Madness Tournament.

Friends With Frank Caliendo
Frank
Caliendo is the man behind the best John Madden impression
ever caught on tape, however, these day's he's being recognized
even more for his George W. Bush. Since his last appearance
on The Late Show with
David Letterman, Frank's performance has been circulating
the internet and forwarded to almost everyone's inbox. It
got so big in fact that The
Late Show decided to re-air that
almost immediately. For those of you who aren't familiar
with Frank, he has many more voices in his arsenal than any
one comedian should be allowed to have. Each time he calls
us on the phone, Caliendo impresses us with a variety of
fantastic impressions including Al Pacino, Adam Sandler,
Robin Williams, Jim Rome and Ted Knight just to name a few.
And the scary part is that if you didn’t know better,
you’d think all those celebrities right there with
him. If you live in Peoria or Ft. Wayne, you can see him
work his magic live as he performs with The
Friends of the BOB&TOM Show comedy tour this weekend.

A
Man For All People
With a rubber-like face and an ability
to tell stories mixed with clever word-play and innuendo,
comedian Tommy
Chunn has been a hit on almost every televised stand-up
comedy show imaginable. He's appeared on Star
Search, Def Jam Prime Time, Evening at the Improv, Showtime
at the Apollo, BET Comic View and
even Make Me Laugh.
His ability to appeal to a wide range of audiences can be
traced back to his growing up in both Detroit and the culturally
diverse, California. It also helps that he’s an African
American that was adopted by an Asian (hence the last name
Chunn) .

You
Know Her
From The Office
When Friends went off the air, it looked
as though NBC had lost its claim that Thursday nights were ‘Must
See TV,” and for awhile, that was indeed the case. That is until
they moved their new smash hit comedies My Name
is Earl and The
Office to Thursdays. Now both are sharing great success and
many critics attribute this to the great writing and the ability of audiences
to relate to the characters. Take actress Angela
Kinsey’s character Angela Martin on The
Office for example. Anyone who’s ever held a job in an office
atmosphere has had a co-worker who was a little too tightly-wound and
had no sense of humor; that's Angela. This isn’t Kinsey’s
first television role, she’s also been seen on All
of Us, Mat TV, Step by Step and Run of
the House.

As the CEO of Just Ask a Woman branding agency, and one of the most accomplished
women in the marketing and communications industry, Mary

The
Host of Vague But True, Tim Bedore
Tim Bedore has been on a hot
streak lately with his weekly Vague
But True editorials, which is why we're so
eager to find out what his next installment will
be about. Over the past year, these musings have
helped us learn a lot about Tim, including his
predictions on the upcoming year, the joy he finds
in defacing SkyMall magazines, the constant struggle
between being a good father and a good comedian
and his theory on how animals are trying to wipe
out our species. But no matter the topic, we're
happy he'll be reporting on it from his new home
up north, where the introverts stare at their shoes
and the extroverts stare at your shoes. Plus, make
sure you stick around for the conclusion of VBT
because you'll want to hear Bedore sing along with
his catchy little outro (as
performed by the BOB&TOM Band.)

Five Jokes For the Laughs of One
After a seven day rest, comedian Bob
Zany is poised to return to do what it is he does best, The
Zany Report. Though he's often denied the laughs his
jokes truly deserve, Bob hasn't
given up his personal mission to deliver
a Report that
requires zero fixing, and gets everyone in the studio
to laugh, at least once. As a safeguard, just in case this
week's report doesn't live up to his lofty goal, there's
always "Fix-the-Joke, Baby" and the "Bing
Crosby Joke of the Week" to save the segment. Because
as we all know, everything is funnier when there are prizes
involved.

Breaking
Back In
Prison breaks are normally good fodder for the climax of a feature length
film, but there’s no way one could be the premise of a television
drama. The FOX Network proved that theory wrong, because last season
their freshman action/drama Prison
Break was a smash hit. On the show, Michael Scofield is a
desperate man whose brother has been arrested for a crime that Michael
doesn’t think he committed. What’s even worse, his brother
is on death row for this crime and the clock is ticking. With no other
options left, Michael does the only rational thing he can think of and
gets himself arrested too. Now he can help his brother escape prison,
from the inside. Prison Break's second
season begins this Monday night, and Michael's brother is still awaiting
execution. Wade
Williams stars as Captain Bellick in one of most anticipated episodes
of any show this season. Williams has been featured on CSI:
Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, Six Feet Under and 24 among
others.

The
Food Network Star
There aren’t many celebrities out that that can appeal to all ages,
but that’s exactly what Marc
Summers does. Kids love him from his days on Nickelodeon where for
10 years he hosted games shows like What Would
You Do? and Double Dare and everyone
else has enjoyed his recent work on the Food Network hosting Unwrapped, Trivia
Unwrapped and The
Next Food Network Star. Before he began hosting though, Marc
got his start warming up audiences for the hit shows Soap,
Alice and Star
Search. Marc is also famous for coming clean on his battle with
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which he chronicles in the book Everything
In Its Place.
