Lookout, It's Jeff Daniels
If you’ve never been down to the The
Purple Rose Theater for a "Live and Unplugged" show, you
probably wouldn't know that actor Jeff
Daniels is also an accomplished musician and theater actor. Most
people only know him from his roles in hit films like Terms
of Endearment, Something Wild, The Hours and Dumb & Dumber,
but this summer, Jeff is returning to the stage in the Oliver award winning
play, Blackbird, which will be performed
at the Manhattan
Theater Club from March 15 to April 29. In other news, Jeff will
also be returning to the big screen in the movie The
Lookout, due out in theaters Friday, March 30th. And if you'd like
to sample a little bit of Jeff's music, check out his new CD Grandfather's

The Showbiz Show, With David Spade
Actor David
Spade first broke onto the scene as a reparatory player on Saturday
Night Live in the mid 90’s. Along with legends like Farley,
Sandler, Schnider and Hartman, Spade helped turn the flailing sketch
comedy show around and bring it back to glory. Spade became famous for
his cynical wit, and Weekend Update features like “Hollywood Minute.” Though
he’s gone on to star in blockbuster films such as Tommy
Boy, Joe Dirt and the recent film The Benchwarmers,
Spade has found a home on Comedy Central with the third season of his
informative program, The
Showbiz Show. In it, Spade expands his Hollywood Minute format into
a half-hour of poking fun at the entertainment industry, celebrities
and those who cover them. The show airs Thursdays at 10pm on Comedy Central.
Spade is also starring on the new CBS sitcom, Rules
of Engagement.

Hey,
Smart Guy
Frank Nicotero is
a standup comedian and a self-professed trivia junkie,
two traits that make him the perfect candidate to
host a game show in which you make fun of stupid
people and their lack of general knowledge. And no,
we're not talking about Jeopardy!,
Nicotero was the host of the game show, Street
Smarts. And while it is
his work on television that he’s primarily
known for, Nicotero got his start working as a road
comic, something he still enjoys doing to this day.
FACTOID – Frank
Nicotero was voted “Class Clown” in
high school three years in a row.

Big
City Girl
When working as a reporter in
small towns just isn’t working out, what choice
do you have but to move to New York City, work as
a temp, and live with whoever needs a roommate at
the time? Yes, there probably are a few other choices
out there, but that’s the path Tina
Kim choose, and she’s still glad she did.
After moving to The Big Apple, Tina decided that
becoming a news anchor was no longer her ambition.
Instead, she wanted to be a standup comedian. To
break into the business, Kim worked at comedy clubs
answering phones in return for a little stage time.
These five-minute open mic stints eventually lead
to her producing her own successful one-woman shows,
taking her act on the road, and being featured on
CNN, CNBC, NBC, MTV and VH-1.
FACTOID – Tina
was the executive producer of the very first Asian
American standup showcase in New York City and Boston.

Short
Jokes
Here’s a warning to everyone
in the audience, when Eric
Shorts starts talking, put your drinks down,
because when he gets going he’s ‘spit
your beer’ funny. With a rocks star swagger
and confidant stage presence, Shorts keeps crowds
howling with his quick wit, adorable charm, and laugh
out loud punch lines. Now let’s just see if
he can pack up and bring some of that funny into
the studio.

Mr. Sunshine
Doing stand-up comedy since 1987, mostly because he’s
funny and hates having a boss, Nick
Griffin has fine-tuned his act to become one of the most
well rounded comics today. His comical observations cover just
about everything (including fashion, love and Einstein) , so
as long as you are interested in something, Nick will have
you rolling in the aisles in no time. This is one of the reasons
BOB&TOM chose Nick to be a featured performer on the standup
special they filmed for Comedy Central. Griffin has been featured
on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and The Late Show with Craig
Kilborn and has also written for The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.
He may be dark, cynical, sound depressed and have a real problem
getting along with women, but Griffin is still a must see if
he performs in a club near you.

Here's a Tip From Your Uncle
Lar
Chicago native, Larry Reeb, loves three things, cigars, the Bears, and
dispensing helpful advice about life to unsuspecting audiences. Oh, and
his wife is probably a close forth. Known around the country as Uncle Lar, Reeb is
the guy you do your best to keep the kids away from at the family reunions.
He may look like an average guy, but underneath that pale facade lurks
sick and twisted sense of humor. We're not saying you won't find him unbelievably
funny, because he is, it's just that you might feel a little dirty for
laughing at some of the "Tips from your Uncle Lar." |

all over the country are glued to their radios waiting to hear
what Bedore has to say. And if you happen to be one of those
people, here's some good news, Tim's most popular pieces from
the last few years have been compiled into a spectacular two-CD

Living
the High Life
Though people love television programs,
it seems more and more that the water cooler discussions
about TV revolve around commercials. Even the Super Bowl,
which is the most watched show of the year, is often trumped
by the ads that run between breaks in the game. And while
the most companies have made major strides in creating
memorable and humorous ads, the kings of the genre are
the beer companies. These brewers of booze are responsible
for some of the most beloved ad campaigns in history, and
somehow they still manage to come up with new and original
spots. One such ongoing series involves the removal of Miller
High Life from establishments that are deemed unworthy
of selling the product. Actor Windell
D. Middlebrooks portrays the Miller delivery guy who’s
on a mission to make sure only places that promote living
the high life are allowed to serve it.

It
Only Sounds Like We're Not Laughing
It’s time again for everyone’s favorite weekly feature, The
Zany Report starring comedy legend Bob
Zany. In case you’re new to the show or are unfamiliar with
the concept of The Zany Report, we’ll explain how it works. Every
Tuesday, Bob Zany calls in to deliver a handful of jokes based on current
events and comical news stories. Though his intention is to present a
report that is hilarious from top to bottom, it doesn’t always
work out this way. Of course as good hosts, BOB&TOM are always kind
enough to point out which of his jokes came up a little short in the
laughs department. This is where you the listener come into play because
Zany then invites a lucky fan to call in and fix one of his flat punch
lines in a little game he calls Fix-The-Joke Baby! Sounds easy, doesn’t
it? To find out more, got to bobzany.com, baby!

History Whiz
In the world of the BOB&TOM Show, Scott
Dunn has become famous for his celebrity roasts and the ability to
turn any event in history, no matter how important, into a comedy routine.
So far he's skewered George Washington, Jesus, Frankenstein, Buddha,
the first Thanksgiving, and even the funeral of Abraham Lincoln. We've
enjoyed these bits so much whenever Scott has dropped by, that B&T
decided to make it a regular feature, with the first installment coming
this monday. We know it will be funny, but we have no idea who or what
may be next?
FACTOID -
Scott Dunn is also the author of two novels, The
Big Cookie and Through
the Turn

Gumbel
on the
Final Four
Four schools, three games, two days and One Shining
Moment, that’s all that remains in this year’s NCAA
Men’s Basketball tournament. 65 teams entered, but only four are
still alive, and each of them will be showcased on CBS as The Road to
the Final Four continues. For four rounds now, now Greg
Gumbel has been your humble host, transitioning viewers in and out
of games as well as keeping America up to date on the goings on in each
of the brackets. As a broadcaster, Gumbel has been around the block.
He’s called play-by-play for college and pro basketball and football,
Major League Baseball, the Olympics, and “Speedweek.”
