Camel Scratch Fever
Fresh off his stint as the host on his hit reality TV series Surviving
Nugent, the wild man of rock, Ted
Nugent, is doing his part for the USA by entertaining our
troops around the world. Right now he's touring the Middle East
and who knows, while he's out there Ted may put down the guitar,
pick up his bow and join the battle. Just be glad he's on our
side. When he's not putting others through hell on his ranch for
ratings, or rocking out the Middle East, Ted spends his time hunting,
and writing about hunting. He and his wife Shemane compiled a
list of their favorite wild game recipes in the book Kill
It & Grill It. |

Queer
Eye For
the Comedy Guy
When 14 traffic tickets and four automobile
accidents end your dream of becoming a police officer, what
do you do next? Like any young go-getter would, Kevin
Downey, Jr. became one of Santa’s elves at Macy’s
in New York. This dream too would come to an end when he was
faced with the harsh reality that all elves are inevitably fired
right after Christmas. This left Kevin alone, in a new city,
with no job. Once again he needed inspiration, something one
can only find in comedy club. Having witnessed enough terrible
comedians during his stay in NYC, Downey knew he couldn't be
any worse than those other standup-hacks, so he gave it a go.
The rest is history. Now he’s living his new dream, performing
comedy across the country in hopes that one day he'll be able
to retire to the suburbs and spend his days chasing kids out
of his yard.
FACTOID
– Kevin Downey, Jr. was the subject of an episode of "Queer
Eye For the Straight Guy" in which he got a total makeover,
proposed to his girlfriend, and performed his standup routine
for the first time at a major comedy club.

Planet
Charlie
Charlie
Viracola doesn't want to change the world, he wants
to start one of his own. His plan is to create a new planet,
one that's far better suited for people that agree with his
off beat points of view and low tolerance for ignorance. What
would this new world be called, you ask? Hes fond of Planet
Charlie. Though the name is by no means a creative masterpiece,
there's no way you'd miss it on a map of the galaxy. When he
isn't coming up with new rules and regulations for his brave
new world, Viracola spends his time studying many other fine
performance arts such as mime, juggling, escape, stilt walking,
and the unicycle.
FACTOID
- Charlie Viracola recently performed in a USO show in Ft. Hood,
Texas for the President and the troops that captured Saddam
Hussein.

John
Wessling's
Back For More
Comedian John
Wessling came to the BOB&TOM Show with good recommendations
from fellow comics and friends of the show, Henry Phillips and
George Lopez. Along with the high praise, Wessling's other credentials
include winning the coveted “Houston’s Funniest
Person” contest and selling a sitcom pilot, "City
Motors," to Universal Network TV. With all that in mind,
we gave him a shot in the hot seat next to Chick, and Wessling
delivered. Now he’s back for a sophomore appearance, only
this time he’s coming in with some ‘show cred,’
which is like 'street cred,' only far harder to come by.

A Heavy
Dose of Reality
Some people love reality television, but
Craig Pilgian has made it his life. Not just a fan of the programming,
Craig is one of the masterminds behind some of the most popular
reality TV series in history including co-producing the first
three seasons of Survivor
with Mark Burnett. Once he tired of finding out who could outwit,
outplay and outlast one another, Pilgian produced the show Worst
Case Scenario which taught viewers
how to survive outlandish situations. Then he teamed up with
Simon Cowell to help one lucky woman find love on the series
Cupid.
Recently, Pilgian struck gold in the world of mechanics with
two extremely popular Discovery Channel garage shows, American
Chopper and
American
Hot Rod. Now he’s trying
to do it again by cashing in on America’s obsession with
gambling by giving folks a behind the scenes look at the day-to-day
operations of various Vegas Casinos. American
Casino airs every Friday on the
Discovery Channel.

Indy
500 Winner
With only three years of experience driving in the IRL, Buddy
Rice came from virtual obscurity to capture the checkered
flag of the 88th running of the Indianapolis 500. Rice, who
runs the #15 Pioneer/ Argent Mortgage car for Rahal-Letterman
Racing, had the best starting position of his young IRL
career after running a four-lap average of 222 mph to capture
the pole. He used this speed to lead the field all day long,
which is why no one felt cheated when he won the truncated race
which was red-flagged due to bad weather. This was only Rice's
second time racing at the speedway, which means the guy really
is a quick study. Watch for Rice to make a guest appearance
on his boss' show, Late Night With David
Letterman, next week.

Missi
Pyle
With talent, charm, beauty and humor Missi
Pyle is becoming one of the fastest rising
stars in Hollywood. How else can you explain the number of high profile
projects she’s landed roles in this year alone. Already in 2004,
she’s appeared in Along Came Polly,
Big Fish, and Fifty
first Dates, and she’s got two more movies
on the horizon that are expected to make a splash at the box-office, Soul
Plane (starring Snoop Dogg) and Dodgeball (starring
Ben Stiller & Vince Vaughn). Born in Texas and raised in Tennessee,
Missi discovered her passion for acting as well as comedy while in high
school. After moving to Los Angeles, Missi guest starred on television
shows including “Mad About You,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “Friends,” but
her big movie break came in the Tim Allen sleeper hit comedy Galaxy
Quest. When she’s not busy on the set,
Missi spends her time performing standup and working with the all-female
sketch comedy group, Bitches Funny.

The
Zany Report,
Now With 13.5% More Laughs
After a seven day rest, comedian Bob
Zany is poised to return to do what it is he does best, The
Zany Report. Though he's often denied the laughs his jokes truly
deserve, Bob hasn't given up his personal mission to deliver
a Report that
requires zero fixing. Hey, it could happen. In all fairness, last
week's Report was actually very good, but just in case Zany doesn't have
a repeat performance in him, there will be new installments of "Fix-the-Joke,
Baby" and the "Bing Crosby Joke of the Week" to save the
segment, because everything seems funnier when there are prizes involved.

The Million Dollar Man
It only took one episode of Survivor:
Pearl Islands for America to fall in love
with Rupert Boneham.
The tie-dyed tank top wearing, black bearded, gentle giant from Indianapolis
became a fan favorite from the moment he stole his opposing tribe's shoes
and sold them for money. It was a no-brainer for the producers of the
show to invite Rupert back to participate on Survivor:
All-Stars, but he had to consider
whether or not he wanted to go through the grueling game again so soon.
Unlike all the other players, Rupert had less than a year between Survivor
experiences. He was home with his family for only a few months before
having to pack up and return to Panama for another 39 days. Rupert outplayed,
outlasted and outwitted 13 of the other All-Stars but fell just short
of finishing as sole-survivor. He did however win the bonus $1 million
prize after being voted America’s favorite Survivor all-star.
FACTOID – Rupert got involved
with the Survivor after participating in a state fair Survivor
contest in his home town.

Hair
Today, Gone Tomorrow
He's wacky, he's high energy, and he's got hair that's sure to get Tom's
attention. Comedian Seth
Buchwald brings his intense, in your face style of standup to clubs
around the country, entertaining audiences with specialized material
written for whatever city he's performing in, and now for the first time
he's bringing it to the BOB&TOM Show. You may have seen Seth on Comedy
Central, Star Search, or on multiple forms
of medication. But no matter where or how it was you can to see him,
there's no way you weren't laughing. His hair alone is good for a chuckle.
