The Great
American Storyteller
Known as one of the great story tellers in comedy, Tonight Show veteran Ron Shock doesn’t have to write a lot of material, because almost all of his stories are true. When you’ve lived a life as adventurous as his, it’s almost impossible to make anything up. Before becoming a comedian, Ron studied to be a priest, was on a chain gang in Louisiana, was arrested for being a jewel thief, then spent time in prison. But that’s not all, when he got out of prison he became the VP of a Fortune 500 Company and an inventor who holds three patents in electronics. Now, with all that excitement behind him, Shock has turned to stand-up comedy and taken his tales on the road to clubs across the country. |

The Bright Side of ADHD
It’s a good thing sitting still, paying attention and making sure you’re prepared for class aren’t the skills you need to become a standup comedian, because Rich Ragains possesses none of them. And while his ADHD kept him from being a teachers pet or even a good student, it has helped Ragains develop and act that covers just about everything he can think of. In an odd sort of way, his quick thinking and improv skills also helped him become a high school wrestling champion, but that fact really has nothing to do with his current career. Rich’s career began on a dare when he was talked into taking the stage at an open mic night after the guy that was scheduled to perform backed out. And because that one guy had no courage, Rich now enjoys a career in standup comedy that has taken him from Northern Canada, all the way to the sunny Bahamas.

All Grown Up
Sure he may look a little like an elf in this photo, but not long after it was taken, Greg Warren grew into a lean, mean, ass-kicking machine. At least, that's what he tells us. Better known to our audience as "Flute-Man Greg," Mr. Warren first charmed us with stories about kids who have dads that hunt for bigfoot and the odd behaviors of his three or forty uncles. But he really cemented his place in BOB&TOM history when he broke out his bit on playing the clarinet, or as his buddy called it, a flute. Not only did this piece add the phrase "hit 'em with your flute" to our vocabulary, it has also caused anyone with the name Nick to be forever referred to as "No Neck Nick." Greg is also a former state champion in wrestling, has a cauliflower ear, and will be featured on the next edition of the BOB&TOM Comedy Tour on Comedy Central.

Greek Style Comedy
Back in 1993, Costaki Economopoulos was a man divided. Part of him wanted spend more time honing his skills as a standup comedian but his more practical side kept him focused on finishing his work as a graduate student at the University of Georgia. And though his practical side did win out, and he did eventually graduate, his darker side convinced him to put that master's degree to good use by becoming a full-time comic. If the name didn't tip you off, Costaki comes from a Greek background, which is why it's not surprising he's been described as a joke philosopher. And we're positive he's not the only one saying that. Known for his clever writing, Costaki's punchlines have been heard on The Tonight Show, BET, and MTV. In other news, he's released his first comedy CD, C'mon It's Jokes, and is dating the beautiful and funny comedienne, Caroline Rhea.
FACTOID - Costaki will be making his network television debut on Last Comic Standing, this Wednesday night on NBC. |

Keeping Secrets
We love comedian Mike Birbiglia so much, that it has been almost unbearable to go as long as we have without hearing from him.
