And Now, Something Completely Different
It began on labor day 2002, Erik Kloecker bought his first juggling balls and began to practice, he picked it up in about 10 minutes and decided, "This is What I want to do with my life." After that day he continued to practice and began to master the art of juggling. After watching his brother Travis, Erik began to learn numerous sideshow stunts including mental floss, which he performed along with fire juggling and the devilstick at his first show, a halloween party on his birthday in October 2003. In 2004 at age 14 Erik became "The World's Youngest Fire-Eater" and went on a national tour with the Pickled Brothers performing in 6 different states, and ending with a performance in Pennsylvania at the 2004 sideshow Gathering Labor Day Weekend, where Erik performed a dropless routine in front of Sideshow Legends such as Ward Hall and Chris Christ. Today, Erik is quickly becoming a master of all trades" and is destined to be one of the Greatest Variety Performers of all-time.

Historical Comedy
In the world of the BOB&TOM Show, Scott Dunn has become famous for his celebrity roasts and the ability to turn any event in history, no matter how obscure, into a comedy routine. So far he's skewered Ben Franklin, the Burr Hamilton dual, the Louisiana Purchase, George Washington, first Thanksgiving, and even the funeral of Abraham Lincoln. Now each Monday, Scott surprises us with a new history lesson in which you're guaranteed to laugh and might even learn a little something too.

He's Been Around
Mike MacRae is not only famous for his hysterical comedy act full of insightful social commentary (such as his take on the infamous baby in the Roe vs. Wade case), he also has an arsenal full of outstanding celebrity impressions that you rarely hear anyone else attempt. As far as we know, there aren't any other comedians mimicking the voices of Harrison Ford, Rip Torn, Vince Vaughn or our brand new favorite, Gregory Peck. Mike has been cast as a voice actor in dozens of popular anime cartoons and when he isn't performing solo, he'll sometimes join in on the BOB&TOM All-Stars Comedy Tour.

New “Rules” to
Tonioght

Patrick Warburton has made a living playing memorable characters on television. For example, fans of Seinfeld will recognize Warburton as Elaine’s on again off again boyfriend "Puddy," while others may remember him as the big, blue, spandex suited superhero, “The Tick.”
Tonight @ 8:30pm Warburton will be featured in the season premiere of CBS's RULES OF ENGAGEMENT – a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, Adam (Oliver Hudson) and Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich), a long-time married pair, Jeff (Patrick Warburton) and Audrey (Megyn Price), and a single guy on the prowl, Russell (David Spade). As they find out, the often confusing stages of a relationship can seem like being on a roller coaster.

Every Office Should Have a John Garrett
Who wouldn’t be happy with a highly respected position at a ‘Big Five’ accounting firm as a Certified Public Accountant. John Garrett, that’s who. Not satisfied being one of the few accountants with a good sense of humor, he preferred instead to be one of the only standup comedians in the world with a CPA. Now he can take the stage at colleges and clubs around the country and poke fun at the corporate world he couldn’t wait to leave, and he’s having a great time doing it. He can also help other comedians with their taxes, that is, if he can find some that file them.

Sweeney-San
If you ask him, or check out his media kit, Mark Sweeney will tell you he's a "professional comedian," even though his credits also include acting roles in Boston Public, The Visitor, and Days of Our Lives. Along with those TV hits, Sweenz has also starred in several independent films which leads us to believe he's done a lot of porn). The four years he spent in the US Marines were either forgettable or he just can't remember them, but he does recall that at some point he went to college, worked about 12 jobs in four years and has been on the run from the student loan collectors ever since.

geechy guyGeechy On The Road
Most standup comedians are well-traveled, but Geechy Guy is taking things to a whole new level. Back in January, Geechy kicked off his "Every Station in the Nation" tour of BOB&TOM Show affiliate stations. This means if you're listening to BOB&TOM on the radio, this crazy Guy is headed to your town. Though Geechy knows where he’s going, he doesn’t always know when he'll get there, so make sure to keep checking back here for our up to the minute list of tour dates. We’ll also keep a running tab of all the places Geechy's already been, because we know some of you really enjoy looking at stuff like that.

Let's Talk to Costaki
Over the past few months, Costaki Economopoulos has been calling in to treat us to a new regular feature that for the longest time didn't have a name or a premise, but those minor details have been fixed (for now) as it's now known as "The Economonologue." Known for his clever writing, Costaki's able to take the things he sees and hears in everyday life and turn turn them into comedic observations you won't be able to believe you haven't thought of before, and will never be able to forget.

Still Deadpan After
All These Years

He’s dry, he's a master of misdirection, and he sounds like he’s always half asleep or depressed. He is comedian Steven Wright. With a unique style and instantly identifiable delivery, Steven is a legend in the world of comedy and still ranks among the best comics performing today. And though he's been working regularly over the years, he's largely been absent from TV. Last year, he released his first TV special in nearly two decades and this year, he's released a DVD project, When the Leaves Blow Away. And now, Steven is announcing the release of his latest audio CD project, entitled "I Still Have A Pony."

Here He Is...
It's been a long seven days since we last visited with comedian Tim Bedore, which is why we're so eager to have him back on his special line ready to deliver another exciting edition of Vague But True. Live from his home in Minnesota where he's seated comfortably at mission control, Tim shares his thoughts on life, society, politics and his day to day activities, presented in the form of in-depth, entertaining editorials. Over the past few years, these musings have helped us learn a lot about Bedore, including his thoughts on downloading movies, the joy one can find in a SkyMall magazine, his time spent at summer camp and his theory on how animals are trying to wipe out our species.

Shayma Tash
Rising Star

With her impressive list of television credits, you’d wonder how Shayma Tash has time to perform standup comedy. Between working as a fashion expert on the E! Network, appearing as a correspondent on The Tonight Show and The Best Damn Sports Show, Period, hosting shows on ABC Family, shooting national TV commercials and she was also a star of the WB's sketch show HYPE, where she showed a wide variety of characters- from a geeky teenage girl with head gear to an elderly woman in adult diapers to an impressive impression of Julia Roberts in a spoof of Erin Brockovich.

The Business of Comedy
While trying to put himself through Colgate University, a young Mark Klein figured out that the best way to earn a supplemental income was to perform standup comedy in his spare time. Little did he know this part time job would blossom into a full-fledged career. Mark knew from the beginning that he was going to have to rely on his business sense and work ethic in order to become a successful comic because that English major wasn't going to do him much good. His first executive decision came when he decided to take his fast speaking, easy to follow, pro business comedy to the folks who could most appreciate it; business people. Klein began spending the majority of his time working large cooperate functions entertaining CEO's and other white collar types, but he still finds the time to play the occasional comedy club and nationally syndicated morning show.

Comics On Duty
As the war in Iraq continues, the troops long for anything that will remind them of their lives back home. And what better way to do this than with some good ol' American standup comedy? That’s why a group of comedians have come together to form the Comics on Duty World Tour, a program that travels around the world to bring laughter to our brave men and women overseas. Comics on Duty has been around for over 12 years and has put on over 1300 performances. Steve Mazan is among the many great comedians making stops around the Middle East this year, and the troops are grateful they’ve got top-tier headliners performing for them. Because out in the Mid-East, you don’t want anyone bombing.

Roll Over Beethoven
Brian Setzer has made a career of bucking trends, going against the grain, ignoring popular culture, discarding rational thought, and, all the while, blowing people away. In a pop music era dominated by twenty-something contest winners and angst-ridden suburban kids, his latest project couldn't be any further removed from the mainstream. Recording centuries-old music with his 18-piece Rockin' Big Band and enlisting the help of a long-retired octogenarian, Setzer has achieved what is surely his finest musical hour with his upcoming Surfdog Records release, "Wolfgang's Big Night Out."

Natty Bumppo No Mo!
Picking up where his bestselling memoir "Never Have Your Dog Stuffed" left off, Alan Alda finds himself searching for a way to squeeze the most juice out of his new life. ( He was saved by emergency surgery after nearly dying on a mountaintop in Chile.) Looking for a sense of meaning that would make this extra time count, he listens in on things he's heard himself saying in private and in public at critical points in his life -- from the turbulence of the sixties, to his first Broadway show, to the birth of his children, to the ache of September 11, and beyond. Reflecting on the transitions in his life and in all our lives, he notices that "doorways are where the truth is told," and wonders if there's one thing -- art, activism, family, money, fame -- that could lead to a "life of meaning." In a book that is candid, wise, and as questioning as it is inclusive, Alda amuses and moves us with his unique and hilarious meditations on questions great and small. "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself" is another superb Alan Alda performance, as inspiring and entertaining as the man himself.

Here's a Guy Who Sounds Just Like Frank Caliendo... Hey it is!
You May recognize Frank Caliendo as a long time star of MAD TV, as the comic relief on FOX NFL Sunday, or even from his multiple appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. Actually, on second thought, maybe you don't. If his face doesn't look familiar, it's probably because Caliendo is a master impressionist who spends more time on screen portraying other people than he does as himself. Caliendo's impressive impressions include celebrities like Al Pacino, Jim Rome, Adam Sandler, Robin Williams, Ted Knight, Jeff Goldblum, and a John Madden so good you could swear it was the real thing.

See the video with Bob Costas from NFL on FOX.
