On
the Road
with Mitch Hedberg
Hilarious standup comedian Mitch
Hedberg is one of the most popular comics among fans of Comedy Central.
Which is why it makes perfect sense that they’d choose him to co-headline
their National Comedy Tour. Along with friend of the show Stephen Lynch,
Hedberg is traveling the country performing his observational comedy.
Mitch looks like your stereotypical grungy Gen-Xer, but he's no slacker.
Deep down his mind is always at work, finding the humor in ordinary things,
and every day events. Along with headlining this national tour, Mitch
has also released the DVD Mitch
All Together, and the CD Strategic
Grill Locations.

Wild,
Wild West
It could be argued that funnyman Billy
West is the most talented and versatile voice actor working today.
His range of original characters is so vast that it’s hard to find
an animated program he hasn’t lent his voice to. In addition to
giving life to pop culture icons such as Ren and Stimpy, Fry from Futurama and
the Red M&M, West has also taken over the voice duty of some of the
best loved animated characters of all time like Bugs Bunny, Shaggy from Scooby
Doo and most recently Popeye the Sailor Man. He’ll be reprising
his role as Bugs in the new film Hare and Loathing
in Las Vegas, and is featured as the voice of Popeye on the new 75th
Anniversary collection DVD.
FACTOID – Billy
West based his voice for Stimpy on that of Larry Fine of the
Three Stooges.

It’s Turkey Time!
You may have seen it done a lot of other places, but we still say it
started here first. It’s time once again for one of our favorite
annual traditions here on the BOB&TOM Show, the cooking of the Fried
Turkey. We receive e-mails all year long asking us how to go
about cooking one of these at home, so we’ve provided the recipe
for this popular fried Thanksgiving feast in the BOB&TOM
Cookbook. If following written directions are just a little too
difficult for you to follow, you’d better grab some cassette
tapes and hit the record on your stereo tomorrow because our
famous turkey chef is returning to the Friggemall building to
demonstrate how it’s done.

Hit
'em With
Your Flute, Greg
The last time comedian Greg
Warren was in our studio, he shared a number of stories about his
past. The one concerning his uncle Leo, and the only good advice he ever
got out of him was funny, but the one that has taken the nation by storm
concerns his playing of the clarinet, or as his buddy called it, a flute.
Not only did this piece elevate the phrase "hit 'em with your flute" into
pop culture, it has also caused anyone with the name Nick to be forever
referred to as "No Neck Nick." Along with his appearance on
the new BOB&TOM album Odd
Balls, Greg's comedy has been featured on Comedy
Central’s Premium Blend and in clubs across the country.
He’s also a former NCAA All-American in wrestling (hence the cauliflower
ear) and has stated on many occasions that if things don’t work
out in comedy, he’ll head back to school and coach the sport. Now
that he's become a favorite of ours, we don't see Greg with a whistle
around his neck any time soon.

Hangin'
With Mr. Curry
Since his early days in school playing the part of the
class clown, Mark
Curry knew he wanted to be a comedian. The problem was
that when he first ventured out into the real world, the only
place he could find an audience was the drugstore where he
worked. But after his customers convinced him to give comedy
a legitimate try, Mark was living his dream in no time. After
only a few years in comedy, Mark was given the opportunity
to perform on his very first HBO special, which in turn led
to his sitcom, Hanging With Mr. Cooper. The show had a successful
five-year run, but that wouldn’t be the end of his television
career. Mark has gone on to host Showtime at the Apollo, Animal
Tails and Coming to the Stage and has made guest appearances
on countless other sitcoms and talk shows. Though he’s
kept busy in Hollywood, Mark makes time to continue doing what
he loves best, performing standup comedy in clubs across the
country.

Life
After COBDOG
Dan Cummins, the younger, more rockin’ half of the comedy duo COB
DOG (AKA Crowe & Cummins) is back out touring on his own, crisscrossing
the country and hitting as many colleges and comedy clubs as he can along
the way. Cummins is a comically gifted singer/songwriter who’s
famous among BOB&TOM listeners for his role as the pushy java salesman
in the piece “At the Coffee House.” Though he’s only
played a few of his humorous tunes for B&T, you can listen to all
of them by purchasing his comedy album, Lower
Your Goals, on his website.
While you’re there, why not procrastinate a little longer and enjoy
an archive of Dan’s famous “Skidmark
Greeting Cards,” which are inappropriate for any occasion.

For
the Love of Godwin
It's true that comedian Pat
Godwin is one of our favorite guests, but it’s not just because
he always comes prepared with a handful of hysterical new tunes. A lot
of our love for the man comes from the fact that he leads such an extraordinary
life which is always packed with interesting, and often pathetic stories
that would never happen to anybody else. Whether he’s living in
a house with no furniture, trying to escape from a transgender stalker
or getting bitched out by Elton John in the middle of an Airport, we
never tire of hearing about his misadventures. Many of which he’s
put to music and can be heard on his album Under
the Bed, or on the new BOB&TOM album Sideshow.

Sideshow
Double Feature
Now that Tim Bedore's
popular editorial, Vague But True,
has become a regular feature on the BOB&TOM show, it's hard to believe
that one man could find the time to write so many clever pieces. We’re
convinced Tim does nothing all day but sit at his keyboard and type because
he’s always ready with a new installment of VBT to share with us.
Sometimes the topics of his columns are pure fantasy, other times the
stories are taken directly from Tim's own life experiences, much like
the two that appear on the new B&T CD Sideshow .
One is his popular piece about having fun with a SkyMall magazine, while
the other is a recollection on the fun he had during his lake cabin vacation.
But it doesn't matter where Bedore finds his
inspiration, the result is always good clean fun.

The
NFL Song - Week 10
Week ten of the 2004 NFL season
is in the books, but don't worry if you missed a
single second of it because Duke
Tumatoe's here with his NFL
Song to help you play a
game of catch-up. It's like having a VHS copy of
the games, without having to adjust the tracking
or rewind when your done. It was quite a week of
football with the Colts and Eagles putting on an
offensive clinic, the Cardinals causing Kurt Warner
to lose his job and three games going into overtime.
In other exciting news, the Dolphins didn't lose,
probably because they were on a bye. What does all
this mean? It means Duke has a lot of info to cram
into one song so don't you dare miss it, or else
you might have to be the one to explain the Giants
QB change to Kurt Warner's wife. Plus, stay tuned
for the always exciting Bass
Talk, and perhaps another one of Chick's popular
halftime jokes.

Sorry,
Wrong Number
Tom
Mabe is in the middle of an ongoing war with
the telemarketing industry. His hatred of phone solicitors
was born back in his days working as a struggling
jingle writer from home. Whenever the phone would
ring, Tom filled with joy, hoping it was a client
ready to shell out cash for his services. But to
his dismay, the voice on the other end of the line
would almost always be a telemarketer attempting
to sell Mabe something he didn't need. Tom could
have done what any ordinary person would do and let
this deep rooted anger fester, but instead he turned
his aggravation into a profession. Mabe now waits
by the phone in anticipation of solicitors, ready
to make them sorry they ever picked up the phone.
With oddball characters and outlandish situations,
Mabe turns the tables on those pesky telemarketers,
making their lives a living hell. The best of his
reverse prank phone calls have been collected on
three CD's, Revenge
of the Telemarketers Rounds 1 & 2 and A
Wake Up Call For Telemarketers.
FACTOID -
Tom Mabe crashed an American Teleservices
Association Conference in Washington DC,
by using a fake name and credentials. He
then took his scheme one step further and
placed prank phone calls to the telemarketing
agency executives in the middle of the night.

Two
Jokes For the
Laughs of One
After a seven day rest, comedian Bob
Zany is poised to return to do what it is he does best, The
Zany Report. Though he's often denied the laughs his jokes truly
deserve, Bob hasn't given up his personal mission to deliver
a Report that
requires zero fixing, and gets everyone in the studio to laugh,
at least once. As a safeguard, just incase this week's report doesn't
live up to his lofty goal, there's always "Fix-the-Joke, Baby" and
the "Bing Crosby Joke of the Week" to save the segment. Because
as we all know, everything is funnier when there are prizes involved.

Music
with a Message
Comedian Sean
Morey's songs usually contain
very heartfelt and well thought out messages. His tune Ghost
Chickens in the Sky examines poultry's
plight against the farmer's ax, his Man
Song discusses the power struggle
between men and women and On
the Internet is all about how hard
it is to find love in today's society. The messages may not
sound as profound when accompanied by his banjo, but if you
can get past that, these songs might possibly teach you a little
about life, love and even yourself. Except for maybe that Hermaphrodite
Song, it's just plain weird.
If you'd like to sample
some of these wonderful melodies, check out the Sean
Morey Audio Page. VIP EXCLUSIVE!
