The
Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue
Though comedian Robert
Klein entered Alfred University as a pre-med student, he knew from
the start that his true calling was actually a job in the entertainment
industry. He first got the acting bug in college when he joined the acting
company on campus, though it wasn’t until he became a part of the
famous Second City comedy troupe in 1965 that his comedic abilities came
to the forefront. After a year with Second City, Klein moved back to
New York and began working as an actor on Broadway. At the same time,
Klein began honing his standup comedy material and in 1973, he released
his first of many comedy albums, Child
of the Fifties, which earned him his first of many Grammy
Award nomination. Over the years, Klein has become a successful actor/writer/composer,
starring film, stage and television, writing music, and publishing books,
like his new one, The
Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue He's also starring in a brand new HBO
comedy special by the same name.
FACTOID - Over three decades ago, Robert
Klein made history by starring in HBO first ever comedy special.
This newest one will be his eighth.

The
Aggravator
No comedian causes more of a stir when they appear on the air than the
southern singer/songwriter, Tim
Wilson. Not to say we dont find him hysterically funny, we
just do everything in our power to disassociate with him and his absurd
philosophies on society, politics and life in general (many of which
can be found in the new piece, The Aggravator).
Along with his music, Wilson is recognized for his love of NASCAR and
the state of Georgia and his distrust of almost everything else. Tim
is one of the great comedic performers touring today, and it's a rarity
when you go more than a week without hearing one of his tunes played
on the BOB&TOM Show. Speaking of which, his popular song Church
League Softball Fistfight can be found on BOB&TOM's
new album, Happy
Hour.

Did
You Get That TPS Report?
You may not know actor Gary
Cole by name, but you’d
instantly recognize him by voice as he says “yeah, I’m
going to need you to go ahead and come in on Saturday, mmmkay.” As
the embodiment of all that is evil about Upper Management in
the movie Office
Space, Cole became synonymous
with memorable character Lumbergh, who gave the world more
than enough catchphrases to last a lifetime. But Office
Space isn’t Cole’s only
claim to fame, he also brought America’s favorite father,
Mike Brady, to the big screen in the The
Brady Bunch Movie, and played the
Vice President on the hit series, The
West Wing. Recently, Gary has been
working on the TNT drama Wanted (which
will air its final five episodes starting December 2) and a
NASCAR comedy film with funnyman Will Ferrell.

Orny
Adams, Comedian
You may have seen him on the Tonight
Show with Jay Leno, or you may have
seen him on the big screen starring in the documentary Comedian along
with Jerry Seinfeld, but if you haven’t seen him live,
you don’t know the real Orny
Adams. Some say he might have come off arrogant and unlikable
in the film, but Jerry Seinfeld disagrees, saying that no comedian
can make it in this business without those traits. Jerry says
it’s his honest, emotional and unvarnished comedy that
people are looking for these days and that’s why he’ll
be successful. We’ll just see about that when he makes
his first appearance on the BOB&TOM show.

One
Cool Kat
St. Louis native, Kathleen
Madigan has starred in her own HBO and Comedy Central standup
specials, done television pilots, reported for ESPN2, has appeared
on the Tonight Show 12
times, won the American Comedy Award for Best Female
Club Comic, and has filled in for Kristi Lee at the B&T
news desk. With all these credentials, we were as surprised
as anyone when she wasn't the Last
Comic Standing on the hit NBC reality show. However,
she was the only one never to be challenged by her peers. With
over 15 years of experience, Kathleen ranks
among the funniest female comedians ever. She's a regular on
Comedy Central, pops up on television all the time and recently
released her second CD, Shallow
Happy Thoughts for the Soul, and
her first concert DVD, Live in
Denver.

Host
for Life
You read it correctly, his name is Bil
Dwyer, and that is Bil with one “L”. Now
that the shock has worn off, we can discuss Mr. Dwyer without
his name as a distraction. Bil is not only a great comedian,
he’s also a professional television host. According
to our records, he has served as the host for Extreme
Dodgeball, Dirty Rotten Cheaters, Battlebots and Ultimate
Fan League, plus he plays Bert
Van Styles on MTV’s new reality show The
70’s House. Bil’s
stand-up has also been featured on The
Late Late Show, Late Friday and Comedy
Central Presents.
FACTOID -
Bil dreams of taking over as host of The Price is Right
when Bob Barker retires.

You've Heard Words to Remember...
Tim Bedore has been a weekly Wednesday
fixture on the show with his Vague
But True editorials, which is why we're so eager to
find out what his next installment will be about. Over
the past year, these musings have helped us learn a lot
about Tim, including his daughter's relationship with their
dog Lexie, and the speech he would have given if universities
had asked him to talk to their graduates (both of which
can be found on the new B&T album Happy
Hour). But no matter the topic,
we're happy he'll be reporting on it from his new home
up north, where the introverts stare at their shoes and
the extroverts stare at your shoes. In other exciting news,
Tim's new CD, Vague
But True, is hot off the
presses. Get your copy of this new CD featuring over 30
of Tim's best VBT's to date.

The
Worm Tells All
Known almost as much for his off the
court antics as he is for his five championship rings, Dennis
Rodman is one of the most recognizable and flamboyant
personalities the NBA has ever produced. Even without his
brightly colored hairstyles, multiple tattoos and frequent
body piercing, Rodman could easily be spotted on the court
at any given time just by looking for the ball. That’s
because Rodman was one of the greatest rebounders in NBA
history. But since walking away from the game, and even
for a while during his playing days, "The Worm" led
a lifestyle that he says should have killed him. In his
newest tell-all book, I
Should Be Dead By Now, Rodman
discusses his depression, battle with alcohol, failed marriage
to Carmen Electra, desire to get back into basketball and
more. This is the perfect gift for anyone who enjoyed his
previous works, but good luck trying to persuade him to
sign a copy of this while wearing a wedding dress. Pick
up your copy online at SportsPublishingLLC.com.

The
Year of George
Make sure you tune in to ABC television on Tuesday night for an event
of epic proportions. Good friend of the show George
Lopez makes his directorial debut on the next episode of George
Lopez, starring George Lopez. This is a nice cap on what has
been a big year for Mr. Lopez. Along with his hit sitcom, he starred
in the summer blockbuster film The Adventures
of Shark Boy & Lava Girl in 3D, he was summoned to testify
at the Michael Jackson trial, he had a kidney transplant and to top it
all off, he's been selling out stand up comedy shows around the country. We're
always happy to take a call from one of the funniest conversationalist
we've ever had on the air, not to mention one of the gang's best friends.

The
NFL Song - Week 13
Another week of NFL football
has come to an end, but that doesn't mean you can't
relive all the fun. That's right, Duke
Tumatoe's here to recap all the exciting action
in his tribute to all things professional football, The
NFL Song. This week featured
many of the top teams squaring off including a
big Thanksgiving Day game between the Cowboys and
Broncos. In other news, the other traditional Turkey
Day team, the Lions, fired their head coach, the
Colts remain undefeated, the Texans found a new
way to lose and the Bears showed that they may
actually be for real. With
all that craziness and more taking place over the
weekend, Duke's got a lot of pressure on him to
fit everything into one exhilarating song. And
who knows, maybe this week we'll even be treated
to a new episode of Bass
Talk.

BOB&TOM
to Appear on Rodney?
Rodney
Carrington has appeared on the BOB&TOM Show many
times, so it's only fitting after all these years that BOB&TOM
repay the favor and drop in on Rodney's show. From what we
know, B&T will be playing themselves on an upcoming edition
of the ABC sitcom and will be taping it later this month.
When will it air, who knows? After all, this is network television
we're talking about. In other news, Rodney is appearing at
The Luxor in Vegas Friday & Saturday night this weekend & next
weekend so if you're in Vegas, stop by and see the jokes
the censors do their best to keep
off of TV.
FACTOID – Rodney
got his first record deal after he went into the
studio and rerecorded his Fred song with the BOB&TOM
Band.

"I
Hope You're Happy, You've Ruined Christmas"
You may not see him on ABC's hit comedy show, Rodney,
very often, but if you laugh while watching it, comedian Mark
Gross is a big reason why. Along with being a talented
writer, Gross is also an accomplished and brutally honest stand-up
comedian. When he hits the stage you soon find out that when
it comes to getting laughs, nothing is off limits, and no one
is safe. Gross has been seen on the Tonight
Show and Comedy Central’s Premium
Blend, and he was a long time writer for the late night
talk show Politically Incorrect.
Gross also makes an appearance on the new B&T album, Happy
Hour, in which he shares a story about a "hell
gig" where he's blamed for ruining Christmas.

Aren't We on the Do Not
Call List?
It's time again for that fabulous
feature, The Zany Report, as
brought to you each week by Bob
Zany. Last week, Bob put together a solid installment of
the Zany Report,
but the big question is can he follow it up with another A+
effort? Are two hysterical weeks in a row too much to ask?
Even if the report does disappoint, America's Favorite game
show "Fix the Joke Baby (Live)" will be able to turn
that frown upside down. And once again some lucky fan will
win a few T-shirts, Zany's chart topping CD, I
Just Can't Win Baby, and a very valuable
one year subscription to the BOB&TOM VIP site.

Our Opening Band, Paul & Storm
Paul Sabourin and Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo were once members
of the enormously popular comedy quartet, Da
Vinci’s Notebook, but having struck out on their own, they're
now the dynamic duo known as Paul & Storm.
While the band's name really isn’t all that clever, their music
and material most certainly is. The last time they came on the show,
they shared a few of their of new tunes including the odd "I hope
that was a raisin" and A Better Version of
You, which appears on the new BOB&TOM album, Happy
Hour. And if you're looking for more Paul & Storm, check out
their new album, Opening
Band, which contains many of their rejected commercial jingles
and Randy Newman tributes.
FACTOID -
Paul & Storm were a part of the legendary "Paco
the Pool Boy" fiasco along with Pat Godwin. Their account
of this infamous event is recounted on their blog.

Real Men of Genius
From the "Too Much Cologne Wearer" guy to the "Inventor
of the Foot-long Hotdog," Bud Light has been celebrating “Real
Men of Genius” for years. These catchy commercials are among
the most popular in the company’s history and rank as one the most
successful campaigns of all time. Anheuser-Busch has long been known
for their clever advertisements, but it’s hard to think of one
that rivals the comedic value of these true-to life tunes. The men behind
the Real Men of Genius spots (the singer and announcer guy) will be joining
us in the studio and might even deliver a few of them live on the air.
For those of you out there that can’t get enough of these commercials,
Bud Light has put together a three-volume CD collection, which is available
for less than $10 at Budshop.com

Prison Break Fall Finale
Prison breaks are normally good fodder for the climax of a feature length
film, but there’s no way one could be the premise of a television
drama. The
FOX Network disagrees, and their new fall series Prison
Break has proven them right. On the show, Michael Scofield
is a desperate man whose brother has been arrested for a crime that
Michael doesn’t think he committed. What’s even worse,
his brother is on death row for this crime and the clock is ticking.
With no other options left, Michael does the only rational thing he
can think of and gets himself arrested too. Now he can help his brother
escape prison, from the inside. Prison Break's
fall season is coming to a close this Monday night, and Michael's brother
is only one day away from execution. Wade
Williams stars as Captain Bellick in one of most anticipated episodes
of any show this season. Williams has been featured on CSI:
Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, Six Feet Under and 24 among
others.
