They Call Him Tater Salad
Comedian Ron White has a comedy style that is as subtle as a nine-car pileup on the freeway. His stories, which usually involve his love of adult beverages, or being kicked out of somewhere (with one usually leading to the other), laugh in the face of conventional comedy. White’s not one to shy away from stating his point of view. He's blunt, and may be bit obnoxious, but somehow he makes this work for him on stage. To describe him as a testosterone-laden, good ol' boy with a Texan point of view would be an understatement, but it would explain why he teamed up with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy to form the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Though he recently released his own very successful comedy album Drunk in Public (inspired by true stories), the real exciting news is that the Blue Collar guys are back with a brand new DVD, just in time for the holidays.

He's Kevin Nealon, And That's News to Him
As the longest running cast member in Saturday Night Live history (nine seasons), comedian/actor Kevin Nealon brought America a number of memorable characters including The Subliminal Man, Hanz and Franz, and Mr. No Depth Perception. He also held the coveted position of host of "Weekend Update" where for years his tagline was "I'm Kevan Nealon, and that's news to me." That was many years ago, but fans of Nealon can rejoice because Kevin is headed back to television. This time he’s taking his talents to the GSN network (formerly the Game Show Network) to host the brand new game, Poker Royale: The WPPA Championship. But don’t start thinking of Nealon as just a TV star; he’s had his share of movie roles alongside fellow SNL alumni in a number of Hollywood blockbusters such as Coneheads, Happy Gilmore, Joe Dirt and Roxanne.

The British Are Coming
If you think England and America are a lot alike just because we both like the Beatles, comedian Scott Angrave will be the first to tell you that you’re dead wrong. Scott has made a living sharing his funny stories on the differences between the UK and the US, and about all the trouble the language, money and customs have gotten him into since he arrived in the States. Along with his standup act, Angrave is also famous for his corporate shows, "Funny Money" and "How to Speak Proper English." Perhaps we’ll get a good old-fashioned English lesson from this dry witted Brit when he joins BOB&TOM in the studio.

Sly Ty Barnett
Known for being sly, comedian Ty Barnett has gained a reputation, among people who talk about him, for being able to take traditionally taboo topics like racism, drug addiction and the breakdown of society and put a humorous spin on them. As it turns out, that’s a very good trait for standup comedians to have. Barnett’s television credits include The Fugitive, Star Search, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and in nationwide commercials for K-Swiss shoes.

Betty White Returns to Television
When Bob found out that legendary actress Betty White was returning to television, he was excited. But when he found out she'd be appearing on the BOB&TOM show for the second time, he could hardly contain himself. For years, the Golden Girls star has been #1 on Bob's wish list, and we're sure he's not alone. White's been a Hollywood icon for decades and in that time has starred in a number of classic shows such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Golden Girls, Mama’s Family and The Match Game. In addition to her huge body of work, Betty White has kept busy as an avid supporter of animal rights and is very active in many foundations that support the cause. In fact, she's been a big part of The Morris Animal Foundation, for over 30 years. This week, Betty will be making her return to ABC television when she guest stars as the mean old neighbor lady on the new Friday night comedy, Complete Savages.

FACTOID – Bob’s dog, Betty was named after the lovely actress, Betty White.

Be Nice to Tammy, She's Got Family
We're all still scratching our heads, trying to figure out how good friend of the show, Tammy Pescatelli didn't win NBC's reality show, Last Comic Standing. Because, not only is she a knockout beauty, she's also one of the funniest female comics working today. Though this Sicilian beauty didn't walk away with the grand prize, she's still one of our favorite guests; we've even had her sit in as the guest news anchor when Kristi was on maternity leave. Miss Pescatelli (that's right boys, she's single) is not only a Tonight Show veteran, she's also voiced the lead roles in the B&T bits “Doggy Style Beer” and “Sheetos” and recently spent time with the USO, entertaining troops overseas.

FACTOID - Tammy Pescatelli has the distinction of being the first on-air victim of Chick's one-handed bra removal trick.

Emo Philips Has a Screw Loose
To label comedian Emo Philips an oddball would be a huge understatement. Though he's known for his look and his unmistakable voice almost as much as he is as a joke teller, Emo has spent years becoming one of the ultimate masters of misdirection. When Emo starts talking it's easy to get lost because you're never quite sure where he's going until he gets there. But rest assured that at the end of every setup is a punchline thats funny, and nothing like what you expected. As soon as he starts spouting off one liners like “I woke up with a bloody nose this morning, and I wondered how it got into bed with me,” you'll begin to wonder just how messed up his mind really is. Emo's been performing standup comedy for quite some time and has released a number of comedy albums over the years that are now considered comedic gems. Two of these have been packaged together on one CD and can be purchased at www.laugh.com!

FACTOID – The Original screenplay for "Meet The Parents" was written by Emo Philips.

FACTOID – Emo Philips was in the movie "UHF" with "Weird" Al Yankovic.

The Ghetto Dr. Phil
Having grown up on the mean streets of Chicago, many are surprised to find out that Corey Holcomb has become a successful standup comedian, Tonight Show veteran and one of the stars of the second and third seasons of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. While on stage, Holcomb does much more than dispense wisecracks, he uses this opportunity in front of a captive audience to dish out advice to the lovelorn with his “take-no-prisoners” attitude. This has earned him the nickname the “Ghetto Dr. Phil.” His streetwise perspective on life helps make his advice an much easier pill to swallow than Dr. Phil's brand of feel-good philosophies. For those of you who prefer to see standup comedy on television (and out of harms way) rather than in the clubs, Corey has a brand new DVD called The Problem is You.

Who Is Ken Jennings?
Getting one question (or answer) correct while watching the popular syndicated game show Jeopardy! is hard enough, but can you imagine winning a game. Well, Ken Jennings did just that, 74 times in a row. His record-breaking run finally came to an end earlier this week when he missed the Final Jeopardy question, and wrote down FedEx instead of the correct response, H&R Block. From June 2 to November 30, Jennings defeated 150 challengers and gave over 2700 correct responses to subjects ranging from Shakespeare to Hip Hop and in doing so won over $2.5 Million. He not only set the record for number of victories on Jeopardy!, and the record for most money ever won on a television game show, he also raised the show’s ratings by 22% and helped make Jeopardy the highest ranked syndicated program on television.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Chris Speyrer
Chris Speyrer claims to have performed his brand of standup comedy in 39 different states, that is, if you count the states of depression, anxiety and inebriation. That’s quite a resume for a guy who says his biggest problem leading into his comedy career was being nervous in front of crowds. Now that Speyrer’s gotten past his fear, he can take the stage and deliver an act that’s been called a nonstop stream of insight and sarcasm, which works out great when he’s playing in front of an audience full of people who enjoy that type of thing. Fortunately for him, that’s been the case more often than not.

And Now Another True Tale from Tim Bedore
Now that Tim Bedore's popular editorial,
Vague But True, has become a regular feature on the BOB&TOM show, it's hard to believe that one man could find the time to write so many clever pieces. We’re convinced Tim does nothing all day but sit at his keyboard and type because he’s always ready with a new installment of VBT to share with us. Sometimes the topics of his columns are pure fantasy, other times the stories are taken directly from Tim's own life experiences, much like the two that appear on the new B&T CD Sideshow . One is his popular piece about having fun with a SkyMall magazine, while the other is a recollection on the fun he had during his lake cabin vacation. But it doesn't matter where Bedore finds his inspiration, the result is always good clean fun.

The NFL Song - Week 12
The 12th week of the NFL has come and gone, but if you missed a single second of it don't fret because Duke Tumatoe's here with his NFL Song to save the day. He watches the games so that you don't have to. This week featured two high scoring and highly lopsided Thanksgiving games, more wins from the Eagles, Patriots and Steelers, more inept play from the NFC, more points than have ever been scored in a football game between the Browns and Bengals and a Sunday Night game that ended with a blocked kick. All in all, you could say it was good football, and hey, that's the best kind of football. Duke couldn't agree more, which is why he's cramming it all into this week's song. Plus, stay tuned for the always exciting Bass Talk, and perhaps another one of Chick's popular halftime jokes.

Tuesday Starts the Weekend
When comedian Greg Hahn takes the stage, he brings an energetic, all-out style of physical humor, one-liners and crowd work with him. He doesn't waste any time trying to solicit laughter; he's out to create immediate pandemonium and panic. Hahn will wear an audience out with his rapid-fire jokes and non-stop style and leave them lying on the floor trying to catch their breath in no time. Though Hahn's resume includes numerous television appearances and headlining countless comedy clubs, his true calling may be as a speaker at corporate functions. Hahn is famous for stepping behind the podium during stuffy business events and pretending to be a guest speaker, only to launch into his bizarre antics. Needless to say, it takes everyone in attendance completely off guard.

Side Note - Greg's famous piece about his golf game is featured on the new BOB&TOM album, Odd Balls.

Spend the Holidays with George Lopez
In case you haven't heard, our very good friend George Lopez stars in his very own, very successful sitcom, strategically titled George Lopez. He insisted on this title so that they could never do the show without him. When he set out all those years ago to develop his show, he wanted to make sure it wasn't one of those run of the mill sitcoms where all life's problems could be solved in 22 minutes (or in some cases, a very special two-part episode). Three years later, it looks as though his strategy worked. Now leading off the Tuesday comedy lineup, Lopez has become a staple on the ABC network. Aside from the TV show, make sure you keep an eye out for George this holiday season as he'll be starring in the ABC made for TV movie, Naughty or Nice, which airs Saturday, December 11th. George has also got a book on the way titled Why You Crying?

Side Note - George is very excited that on December 14th, he'll be in attendance as his childhood icon, the late Freddie Prinze, is added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, something Lopez helped make possible.

Fix-the-Joke, Zany
The legendary Bob Zany is set to deliver his eagerly anticipated Zany Report once again and we can barely contain our excitement. After what seems like an eternity off, Bob will once again present what he thinks is A-material in hopes of creating the biggest, funniest, most spectacular Zany Report of all time. However, if for some reason you aren’t exhausted from laughing when it’s all said and done, there's always BobZany.com where you can test your hand at punch line writing by playing Fix The Joke Baby. Pick up one of those "Eat Salmon the Other Pink Meat" T-shirts while you're at it. It's the perfect stocking stuffer
