1. What Do You Mean I Don't Need An iPod
To Listen To A Podcast?
A Podcast is an MP3 file and all you need to play it is an
MP3 player. With
the help of the FREE software iTunes 6, you are already able to listen
to a Podcast. You only need an iPod or other Mobile MP3 Player
if you want to listen to a podcast while you are working out, driving
to work or taking the dog for a walk.
2. Not Prompted For Password
Please insure you are using the latest version of iTunes 6.0.4.2 with
QuickTime 7 for PC or iTunes 6.0.4 (3) for Mac.
This version has the ability to accept username and passwords that
the prior versions of iTunes do not.
To see which version you have, open iTunes.
For PC: Click the Help menu > About iTunes
For Mac: Click the iTunes menu > About iTunes
You can download and install the newest version from: www.apple.com/itunes
3.
iTunes Most Current Version, Still Not Prompted For Password
If iTunes
is at the most current update and you are still
not being prompted for a username / password, this is
likely a result of an Internet Explorer security setting
which iTunes uses for it's username & password authentication.
To correct, open Internet Explorer.
Go to: Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab
If higher than Medium, select Default Level
Click Apply
Click OK
Try again in iTunes.
4. Listing Order
You can control way iTunes categorizes the order of your items by Podcast,
Time, Release Date or Description.
You can easily reverse the order dates of the downloaded BOB&TOM
Podcast Hours by clicking the Release Date tab in iTunes Podcast category.
Within the iPod however, it lists in chronological order. You
can create your own playlist in iTunes and arrange them in the order
you wish to hear the show and then sync to your iPod.
Note: In the iPod, after you have completed playback of any given hour,
the iPod will take you back to the main Podcast menu. This is normal.
For more on creating playlists go to: support.apple.com/itunes
5. Only The Last Hour Of The Show

For Each Hour
You can adjust under preferences how iTunes downloads and

Be sure you are actually in the Podcast category, in the Source Pane
on the left side of iTunes, and not the Library. Otherwise, you'll
not be able to see the list of available content for download.
Next to the BOB&TOM Podcast, click the black triangle to display
the list of items available for dowload.
Click the GET button next to the items you wish to download.
They will quickly download directly into iTunes for fast sync to your
iPod!
To sync to your iPod go to: File > Update iPod
Please be aware, that your iTunes must be actively running and connected
to the internet (DSL or Cable high speed) to check based upon the above
settings.
6.
Exclamation Point Alert
For PC Windows users, the exclamation point next to the
feed will occur if you do not enter your username / password
within 60 seconds of being
prompted.
Unfortunately, some users may experience a crash when attempting to
enter their username / password after the 60 seconds. This is
an iTunes bug and will hopefully be fixed in a future release.
To clear the exclamation point, click the Update button in the top right corner of iTunes while in the Podcast category.
You should be prompted
for your username / password, this is normal.
If you click the Remember My Password checkbox, you'll only have to
hit OK in the future.
