Wonderbeard jettisoned
by ailing Redskins
"Friend of the show", Jeff George, has once again been
booted from an abysmal NFL team after "leading" the
Washington Redskins to a dismal 0-2 start this season. In 12 NFL
seasons, Jeff has posted some astounding stats.
Here are a few highlights...
Chick McGee's reaction
upon learning of Jeff George's departure from his beloved
Washington Redskins team roster.
We're not sure if he was happy or experiencing a flashback
of his recent rectal exam.
George has the third worst winning NFL
winning percentage (.371) over the past 50 years for quarterbacks
with over 100 starts
The Redskins were outscored 67-0 in their
first two games in 2001 with George as qurterback
George has played on 5 different NFL teams
He has an average QB rating of 80.4
(of a possible 144 rating)
He's been sacked over 350 times
He lost 2,691 career yards in sacks
He's thrown 113 INT's
He averages 1.8 yards per run
Jeff has never played with the same team
for more than 4 seasons
He only played in all 16 games four
times
He changed his nickname from "Wonderbeard"
to "Boo" so that it would seem like fans were
"Chanting his name" during games
Jeff has taken his chin strap off after
every single play
His rookie card is selling on EBAY for
80 cents
Number of tears registered for Jeff in
Washington D.C as a result of his being fired from the
Redskins - zero
He has contributed more to
the destruction of team chemistry throughout the league,
than any other person in NFL history
George has long been characterized as a gifted
athlete with a rifle arm. However, there is solid evidence
that he possesses no courage on the field, and he regularly
uses his "rifle arm" to shoot himself in the foot.
Will George reemerge in the NFL? It's quite
likely. Look for a bad team with a bad coach and a jerk
for a general manager and he has a chance for another spurt
of mediocrity!

Mr. Obvious & The QB
This Mr. Obvious segment features a caller who might well have
been Jeff George. Though we're not absolutly certain of this.
Jeff George Wine
This is a classic Bob and Tom bit dug deep out of our audio
archives. The cut celebrates the departure of Jeff George
from the Indianapolis Colts in 1994.
