Let's Get
Rocked, Take Two
Phil Collen may not have been the
original guitarist for mega-rock band Def
Leppard, but since 1982, he’s been the
main man. Joining the group just in time for
the release of their commercial breakthrough album Pyromania in
1983, Collen became the lead guitarist and one of
the main songwriters for one of the biggest stadium
rock acts of the decade. This was quite a change
from the smaller acts he’d played in before,
including Dumb Blondes and Girl. Though Def
Leppard has dealt with more than it’s fair
share of troubles during its twenty-plus years of
existence, the band has been able to remain together,
and continues to tour and sell out shows all over
the world. They’ve also released a number
of smash hit albums including Adrenalize,
Slang, Euphoria, X, and their 2006 project, Yeah.
