Carol Burnett

Laughter and Reflection

Comedy legend Carol Burnett's career has spanned over five decades and the entertainment industry is better because of it. Though Burnett's first big breaks came on television variety shows, it was her performances on Broadway that really set her apart. From there, Burnett began making numerous television appearances before eventually landing her own groundbreaking variety show, "The Carol Burnett Show." Thought not as much in the spotlight today as in the past, Burnett, at the age of 70, continues to make appearances on TV, and recently released a new book about her time in show business titled This Time Together: Laughter and Reflection. Fans of the Carol Burnett show can now own them on DVD.

FACTOID - Carol Burnett always tugged at her left ear before signing off as a tribute to her late grandmother.
