Suit jacket, suspenders, necktie… no we’re not talking about Larry King, this time the description is of comedienne Paula Poundstone. Paula arrived on the scene during the comedy boom of the 80’s, but with her insightful musings and quick wit she’s been able to stay on top of the game for over 20 years. Though formally dressed, Poundstone loves keeping it relaxed and comfortable on stage, saying that her act’s not so much a routine as it is a conversation with the audience. In the early 90’s, Paula gained a lot of television attention as an election correspondent for "The Tonight Show" and as a commentator for the Emmys and the Oscars. No stranger when it comes to winning awards, Paula’s pocketed an Emmy, and a couple of Cable Ace Awards herself.
