Asylum Street Spankers
The musical group that brought us The Pussy Cat Song and The Scrotum Song, neither of which we can play anymore, is returning to the BOB&TOM studio as part of their "Spanks for Everything! Farewell Tour." The Asylum Street Spankers is a consortium of wildly diverse individuals, all of whom are crazy for music. Originally a country-blues revival band, the group's defining feature was its absolutely all-acoustic shows. For over a decade, and 30 band members, their interests and influences broadened, but deep down they were always the same old Spankers. Dr. Will Miller
Long time friend of the show, Dr. Will Miller, is an ordained minister, former standup comedian, keynote speaker, teacher and full-time therapist at a major University, yet somehow he still finds time to write books including Why We Watch and Refrigerator Rights (the latter of which has just recently been re-released with an all new chapter and updated research.) He's also the formorst expert on how classic television secretly revals the inner stuggles in all of us. Meaning, while you watch shows like "Mr. Ed" and "Bewitched" to get a few laughs, he's looking to find out what's going on in that messed up brain of yours. Follow Dr. Will on twitter. Pat Dixon
Comedian Pat Dixon spends much of his time in New York City when he's not on the road performing. And while he's there, he often reads thew news. And being that he's a comedian, he can't help but have an opinion on the goings on in the world. And what better outlet for those stories, ripped from the headlines, than the BOB&TOM Show. In other news, Pat Dixon is has a brand new comedy CD titled, Goodbye Forever Fatty that is also now available on iTunes. Follow Pat on twitter and facebook and check out his new podcast, "The new York City Crime Report w/ Pat Dixon." Scott Dunn
Scott Dunn is a stand-up comedian, a novelist, a father of two, and a husband of one. He's also a full-time history buff, and famous for his roasts of famous historical figures and events. He also occasionally calls in with History Lessons and Quizes, which means if you see his name on the guest board, you'd better start studying. In his spare time (when he's got any) he writes jokes for a number of shows including "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader." And that's a little bit about Scott Dunn.
