Kenny Aronoff is perhaps the world's most influential and in-demand drummer. The list of artists he's worked with reads like a who's who of the music industry, and includes John Mellencamp, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Seger, John Fogerty, Melissa Etheridge, Jon Bon Jovi, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Alanis Morissette, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Puddle of Mudd, Avril Lavigne, Joe Cocker, B. B. King, Mick Jagger, Ray Charles, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Bonnie Raitt, Ricky Martin, Santana, Trey Anastasio, Michelle Branch, Vince Gill, Gladys Knight, Aaron Neville, Trisha Yearwood, Patti LaBelle, George Jones, Conway Tritty, The Buddy Rich Big Band and many others. With a style of playing that combines power and finesse, Kenny was named the #1 Pop/Rock Drummer and the #1 Studio Drummer for five consecutive years by the readers of Modern Drummer Magazine, and in addition has played on over 30 Grammy-nominated recordings. Shane Mauss
Shane Mauss got the idea to become a stand-up comedian when he was only eight years old. But knowing his small-town Wisconsin home wasn't exactly a hot bed for comedy, Mauss moved to Boston (when he was older than eight) where he attended some classes and began honing his material. Since then he's gone on to win the Best Stand Up Comic of 2007 award at the Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and he's made appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", Comedy Central and Playboy TV. Follow Shane on twitter and facebook. Robert Schimmel
The Late, Great Robert SchimmelKnown as one of the best and most well respected stand-up comedians in the nation, Robert Schimmel developed a unique style that was frank, funny and extremely blue in nature. However, part of Schimmel's charm came from his ability to discuss dark and taboo topics that made people laugh and squirm at the same time. He was also never afraid to speak his mind or be open about his real life problems including his heart attack, battle with cancer, and marriages. Many of these subjects were covered in his his book, Cancer on $5 a Dayand in his final Showtime Special, Life Since Then, available on DVD. Tim Wilson
For years comedian, songwriter and philosopher, Tim Wilson has been joining us on the air and in that time has treated us to a number of classic tunes such as My Brother In-Law, I Could Be Wrong and Church League Softball Fistfight. And though he's one of our most frequent guests, it's still an adventure every time he stops by, thanks in part to his uncanny ability to find a story to go along with any topic of conversation. But as a warning, if you're even talking to Tim, try to avoid mentioning The Bible, NASCAR, credit cards or Jimmy Carter. In other news, Tim turned author and wrote a book about serial killer Ted Bundy which is now on sale. Pick up your copy of Happy New Year - ted today.
