Mike Birbiglia
Mike Birbiglia is not only a popular and successful stand-up comedian (currently on the "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" tour), he's also the star of the one-man off-Broadway show "Sleepwalk With Me," the author of the book, “Sleepwalk With Me And Other Painfully True Stories,” and was the the living billboard for Downey Fabric Softener. Yes, Mike advertised the Procter & Gamble product by living in a Macy's display window in New York City for one week. He's also the writer, star and director of the new film Sleepwalk with Me which was based on his one-man-show, which was based on his life. The film recently debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, where Mike won the Best Of NEXT directing award. Oh, and he's got a brother named Joe. Mike on twitter and facebook. Drew Hastings
If it appears that critically acclaimed comedian Drew Hastings is looking down on you, he probably is. At 6’6”, Drew’s astute observations on the decline of American society have made him a favorite throughout the Midwest and coast-to-coast for more than 20 years. Drew’s humor stems from his own personal angst and his relatively new fish-out-of-water lifestyle by leaving Hollywood and landing, as a cattle farmer, in small town America. Thus, his new tour, "Farmageddon" is aptly named. From “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to his critically acclaimed one-hour Comedy Central special “Irked and Miffed," Drew has done it all. Pressed to run for mayor of his small town of Hillsboro, Ohio, he now finds himself in an unlikely mix of having one foot in show business and one foot in small town politics. You can also now enjoy Drew Hastings new "ManCandle." Follow Drew on facebook and twitter. Kevin Brennan
New York DreamerKevin Brennan decided to move to the Big Apple to pursue his dream of appearing on "The Late Show with David Letterman." After only a few short years, that dream came true and Brennan took full advantage of it. Little did he know that this one show would lead to even more opportunities like appearing on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and "Last Call with Carson Daily," having his own HBO comedy half-hour special and becoming a writer for "Saturday Night Live." So you see, sometimes it isn't frivolous to pursue your dreams Al Jean
20 Years with The SimpsonsWhen one begins working on a sitcom, you go into it hoping the series will last a few years. Al Jean was no different when he was hired to write for an upstart animated show on FOX. Twenty years later "The Simpsons" is still going strong, and Al Jean has moved up to the role of Executive Producer. Before moving to the fictional town of Springfield, Jean also worked on the series "The Critic," "ALF," "Sledgehammer" and "It's Gary Shandling's Show." Duff McKagan
Duff McKagan's LoadedAfter years touring with Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver, you'd figure a musican like Duff McKagan would spend his free time relaxing, or partying, or whatever it is that rockstars do. But no, instead he uses that time to tour with his other band, Duff McKagan's Loaded. Though known for his work on the bass, for Loaded, McKagan handles the vocals and the guitar. The band has been touring as of late, and is set to realease their third studio project, Sick, due out in stores in late March
