Now What Would You Pay?Have you ever been watching TV and been sucked into a show that looked an awful lot like a commercial, only to be pitched a product that could change your life forever? If the answer is yes, you’ve just been witness to one of televisions most prominent form of programming, Infomercials. They are part talk show part commercial, and almost always entertaining in the way they try to convince you to buy things you never even knew you needed. Author and editor of cityfile.com, Remy Stern has fallen victim to these unbelievable offers which is why he now owns a pasta maker, a vegetable juice, and a set of books that assured him he’d be a millionaire in less than a month. In his new book But Wait… There’s More, Stern gives his take on infomercials, home shopping and the American way of life. Kelly Terranova
Kelly Is FunnyFormer radio host turned stand-up comedian Kelly Terranova bills himself as "The Worlds only vegetarian NASCAR fan," and while we don't know that to be true, we can say it's a good description of the type of comedy you'll get when you go out to his shows. The likelyhood that Terranova has performed near you is pretty good considering he's played in over 500 venues nationwide. And if you haven't seen him live you might have caught him on CMT's Comedy Stage. Christine Steadman
Sorry Kids, Mom's Busy This WeekendChristine Stedman began performing standup comedy as a way to get out of babysitting grandchildren, however she's turned this lame "excuse" into a succcessful career. Every night Christine hits the stage, she shares her unique perspectives on life and it's tribulatons with the audience. She's a Las Vegas and Atlantic City favorite and has been featured on The View and Bud Light Ladies of Laughter. For about a year and a half, she toured with soap opera actor Walt Willey from ABC's All My Children. Not too bad for a woman who simply wanted to avoid changing diapers.
