Though Mac McAnally is best known as the guitarist for Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, he's had quite a career outside of Margaritaville. He's released 11 albums of his own (including the new project Down By the River), written multiple #1 country hits (as well as a few that made their way onto the pop charts) and has lent his guitar skills to a number of famous artists such as Hank Williams Jr., Vince Gill and Reba McEntire. More than a musician, Mac is also an excellent storyteller. He enjoys mixing both of those crafts into every one of his live performances, proving that behind every good song is an even better story.
Wild Bill Bauer
Most comedians claim to have come from bizarre backgrounds, but Wild Bill Bauer was proof positive of what can happen when you grow up around unstable relatives. A brilliant writer with a unique and manic delivery, Bauer combined his outlandish observations and peculiar personal tales into a comedy act that was hilariously shocking and a lot like an episode of "Jerry Springer." Known to the BOB&TOM community as the guy with the uncle who plays Russian Roulette, Wild Bill Bauer was one of the few guest comedians that made an appearance on BOB&TOM's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 CD. Will Bill Bauer passed away on August 29, 2012.
It's time for another exciting episode of the best joke filled, news feature hosted by a stand-up comedian named Bob Zany, The Zany Report. So you'd better tune it because it's going to be huge! In other news, Bob was recently featured in the Matt Damon film, The Informant! and is the star of the new documentary Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany which you can find here and pre-order the 2-DVD set here.
