Chick's Prostate Exam
A Proctember to RememberIf you’re a man over 40, prepare to drop your drawers and assume the position because it’s everyone’s favorite part of the year, time for that always-exciting, annual prostate exam. In celebration of “Proctember,” our very own Chick McGee will offer up his bum to the probing finger of our licensed proctologist, Dr. Pike, as an on-air reminder to men that they need to schedule their own appointment. For more information visit fightprostatecancer.org. Harry Shearer
In 1984, the world was introduced to the heavy metal rock band Spinal Tap in the Rob Reiner mocumentary film This is Spinal Tap. The movie has not only become one of the most beloved comedies of all time, the music has taken on a life of it’s own. So much so that actors Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer who portrayed David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel and Derek Smalls respectively have occasionally headed out on tour to perform as Spinal Tap. This summer, the three band members decided to head out again, only this time, they were going to do it as themselves as opposed to their heavy metal alter egos. In their new project Unwigged and Unplugged, Guest, McKean and Shearer perform the songs of Spinal Tap and The Folksmen (from A Mighty Wind) as themselves. Actor Harry Shearer is also famous for the many residents of Springfield he portrays on “The Simpsons” including Principal Skinner, Mr. Burns, Mr. Smithers and Kent Brockman. He's was also a writer and a star of “Saturday Night Live,” and was featured in the films A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration, The Truman Show and Godzilla. And if that's not enough, he's also the best selling author of three books and released a solo music project titled Songs Pointed and Pointless. John Garrett
Outside the BoxNot satisfied with being one of the few accountants at a 'Big Five' firm with a good sense of humor, John Garrett instead chose to be one of the only standup comedians in the world with a CPA. Now he's able take the stage at colleges and clubs around the country and poke fun at the corporate world he couldn’t wait to leave. Plus, he never has to set foot in a cubical again. When people come to see one of John's shows, they quickly realize that he's the kind of guy they'd love to have working in their office, that is of course, unless they're one of his former managers. Bob Zany
The Zany ReportTuesday is once again upon which means it's time for another exciting episode of the best call-in, joke filled, news feature hosted by a stand-up comedian named Bob Zany, The Zany Report. But the Report isn't the only thing you'll get when Bob calls in, we'll also find out where he's playing next, Bing Crosby will tell a joke, and some lucky fan will win prizes after fixing one Zany's less than successful punch lines. So you'd better tune it because it's going to be huge! In other news, Bob was recently featured in the new Matt Damon film, The Informant! and he's got an all new "Wake Me if You're Horny" t-shirt for sale.
