Tommy Emmanuel
Guitar ExtraordinaireConsidered by many to be the among the greatest guitar players in the world, Tommy Emmanuel is the true definition of a virtuoso. Originally from Australia, Emmanuel is a two-time Grammy nominee, earned Guitar Player Magazine’s 2009 Legend Award and is currently in the middle of a US tour with his Aussie ‘mate’ Frank Vignola. We’re looking forward to having Tommy sit in the studio and share his gift with us live. However, we’re just as excited about receiving a copy of his most recent CD, Center Stage, and the release of his upcoming project, Just Between Friends, featuring both he and Vignola. Chris Hardwick
Rise of the Nerdist
Chris Hardwick is on a mission. He wants to prove once and for all that being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of; that one can live the “Nerdist” lifestyle without being a stereotypical geekwad. He’s doing this with stand-up comedy, writing for WIRED Magazine, writing horror movie soundtracks and starring in movies like Terminator 3 and House of 1000 Corpses. He's also the host of the new G4 program "Web Soup" which debuts Sunday at 9pm. The show is will take a look at the week's best viral videos and everything else that's hot on the web at the moment. Okay, that sounds a little nerdy too, but we're sure Chris will pull it off well. FACTOID – Chris began his nerdy lifestyle as a kid in the 90’s writing comedy songs about gadgets as part of the duo Hard ‘N Phirm. Mark Klein
The Business of ComedyWhile trying to put himself through Colgate University, a young Mark Klein figured out that the best way to earn a supplemental income was to perform standup comedy in his spare time. Little did he know this part time job would blossom into a full-fledged career. His first executive decision came when he decided to take his fast speaking, easy to follow, pro business comedy to the folks who could most appreciate it; business people. Klein began spending the majority of his time working large cooperate functions entertaining CEO's and other white collar types, but he still finds the time to play the occasional comedy club and nationally syndicated morning show.
