Dan Meyer

Sharp Tongued

As a three time Guinness World Record holder in sword swallowing, winner of the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine at Harvard and regular performer for Ripley's Believe it or Not, Dan Meyer was a natural choice to be president of The Sword Swallowers Association International. And with that title, Dan had the authority to proclaim that Saturday, February 27th was the 4th annual “World Sword Swallower’s Day.” Dan has been featured on NBC's "America's Got Talents" and is considered to be one of the greatest sword swallowers in the world, in no small part to his famous feat of swallowing swords underwater in a tank of sharks and stingrays for Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Chris Hardwick is on a mission. He wants to prove once and for all that being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of; that one can live the “Nerdist” lifestyle without being a stereotypical geekwad.
