Lewis Black
He's indignant, he's exasperated, he's "America's foremost commentator on everything," he's comedian Lewis Black. Along with stand-up comedy, Black is also an actor, playwright, Broadway star, makes regular appearances on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," hosted the Comedy Central show "Root of All Evil," wrote the book I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas, and is a Grammy Award winner. And somehow through all that, he still finds time to perform stand-up, and is currently on his aptly named "The Rant is Due" tour. Follow Lewis on Facebook and twitter. Tommy Johnagin
Tommy Johnagin began his stand-up career at the ripe young age of 18, a decision his parents were less than thrilled with. But how could they argue this life choice when their son obviously possessed a gift for joke telling, and more importantly, promised to pay them back for the six semesters of college he "wasted." While on stage (and hopefully on the air) Tommy doesn’t curse, but what he does do is find the humor in his life and the people he meets, (especially in his practical joke loving father). Tommy has been featured on the "Late Show with David Letterman" and and was a finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." Follow Tommy on twitter. Tommy's new album, "Stand Up Comedy 2" is available now! Saving Abel
Miss AmericaJared Weeks and Jason Null formed the band Saving Abel while living in their small hometown of Corinth, Mississippi back in 2004. They met when Weeks, who was in a band, was playing guitar at his best friend's house, when Null, who was in a rival local group, walked in to rehearse with his band. Within days of that meeting, Null and Weeks were writing and honing the intimate writing style that now defines Saving Abel. The Band gradually came together in the final electric lineup of guitarist Scott Bartlett, bassist Eric Taylor, and drummer Blake Dixon, and the band paid its dues both onstage and off. After shopping their indie EP for almost a year, a copy of 'Addicted' found its way into the hands or the right people, and the band was signed the next day. Since the the band has gone on to produced a number of albums, including their newest one, "Miss America", which is in stores now.
