Shane Mauss
Shane Mauss got the idea to become a stand-up comedian when he was only eight years old. But knowing his small-town Wisconsin home wasn't exactly a hot bed for comedy, Mauss moved to Boston (when he was older than eight) where he attended some classes and began honing his material. Since then he's gone on to win the Best Stand Up Comic of 2007 award at the Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and he's made appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", Comedy Central and Playboy TV. Follow Shane on twitter and facebook. Tim Wilson
For years comedian, songwriter and philosopher, Tim Wilson has been joining us on the air and in that time has treated us to a number of classic tunes such as My Brother In-Law, I Could Be Wrong and Church League Softball Fistfight. And though he's one of our most frequent guests, it's still an adventure every time he stops by, thanks in part to his uncanny ability to find a story to go along with any topic of conversation. But as a warning, if you're even talking to Tim, try to avoid mentioning The Bible, NASCAR, credit cards or Jimmy Carter. Along with writing comedy tunes, Tim is also author having written a book, Happy New Year - ted today, about serial killer Ted Bundy. He's also just released a new digital album available for download at Amazon called Caffeine, Wired, Nervous and Pale. Judy Tenuta
Love GoddessJudy Tenuta is a triple threat in the sense that she has strong stage, television, comedy and film credits with a large fan base. She has appeared in" The Vagina Monologues", "Menopause the Musical" both in LA and Chicago, and she's had her own stand-up specials on Showtime, HBO and Lifetime. Judy was the first female stand-up comic to win "Best Female Comedian" at the American Comedy Awards and is a two-time Grammy nominee for her comedy CD’S, "Attention Butt-Pirates” and “Lesbetarians!" and "In Goddess We Trust". That same year, she became the national spokesperson for a series of Diet Dr. Pepper commercials. The self-described "Love Goddess" and "Aphrodite of the Accordion" has made hundreds of guest and co-hosting appearances on such popular TV shows as "The View", "Late Night with David Letterman", "Larry King Live", "Entertainment Tonight", and "Comics Unleashed". Heywood Banks
Anyone who has ever spent any time listening to the BOB&TOM show has no doubt heard a song by legendary comedian Heywood Banks. That’s because Heywood’s catalogue of classic tunes includes fan favorites like "Big Butter Jesus," "I Like Summer," "Toast," "18 Wheels on a Big Rig," "Punjab" and "Wiper Blades" just to name a few. In fact, Heywood has appeared on 36 of BOB&TOM’s comedy albums, more than any other artist by far. We’ve just been informed that Heywood may be adding to his already extensive list of songs when he visits us next. Now we’re just hoping he knows the lyrics. Check out Heywood in "GeoPirates."
