It's time for another exciting episode of the best joke filled, news feature hosted by a stand-up comedian named Bob Zany, The Zany Report. But the Report isn't the only thing you'll get when Bob calls in, we'll also find out where he's playing next, Bing Crosby will tell a joke, and some lucky fan will win prizes after fixing one Zany's less than successful punch lines. So you'd better tune it because it's going to be huge! Bruce Cohen is very familiar with the Academy Awards, having been nominated twice as a producer and won once for the film American Beauty. His producing credits, including hit films like Big Fish, American Beauty and Milk, will grow by one after he takes the helm of the 83rd Academy Awards, airing on ABC Sunday, February 27th.
Though he became famous as one of the wise-cracking celebrities on the game show "Hollywood Squares," Bruce Vilanch is actually best well known for his work behind the scenes, writing jokes for award shows, most notably the Academy Awards. He'll be putting his skills to good use again, this time writing one-lines for James Franco and Ann Hathaway as they host the 83rd Academy Awards. The biggest night in film airs Friday, February 27 on ABC.
