Here Come the Mummies
Not much is known about the individual men who make up the kooky, funky, R&B band known as Here Come the Mummies. For the most part this is due to their constantly wearing mummy attire while on stage, and having never revealed their true identities. But you don’t have to know who they are to enjoy their unique brand of rocking music and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor with songs like "Pants," "Attack of the Wiener Man", and "It's All About the Sugar." The band is typically comprised of ten mummified members who together have released five albums. They are also rumored to have a number of Grammy awards between them. Comedian and actor Jon Lajoie is one of the few comedians that's ever been able to turn a massive online following into a successful career. But when you can post a few videos and get over 300 million views, you must be doing something right. Born and raised in Canada, Lajoie got famous by posting his ironic comedy songs, many of which are less than radio friendly. This popularity led to his role as Taco on the hit FX comedy series "The League," and his very own "Comedy Central Presents" special. Follow Jon on Twitter and Facebook
If you saw and enjoyed his Comedy Central special, comedian Bert Kreisher is happy to announce that you can now purchase the DVD of the same title, Comfortably Dumb. But this success is nothing new to Kreisher, life has been pretty sweet since leaving Tampa, FL for the bright lights of L.A. He co-hosted "The X-Show" on FX, and had his very own reality series "Bert the Conqueror" on The Travel Channel. Follow Bert on twitter.
It's time for another exciting episode of the best joke filled, news feature hosted by a stand-up comedian named Bob Zany, The Zany Report. But the Report isn't the only thing you'll get when Bob calls in, we'll also find out where he's playing next, Bing Crosby will tell a joke, and some lucky fan will win prizes after fixing one Zany's less than successful punch lines. So you'd better tune it because it's going to be huge! In other news, Bob was recently featured in the Matt Damon film, The Informant! and is the star of the new documentary Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany which you can find here and pre-order the 2-DVD set here. Follow Bob on Facebook and twitter. Bob also has a new Podcast, "The Bob Zany Show" with Zan Aufdeerheide.
If you're a fan of Comedy Central, you've probably come across comedian Joe DeRosa. Not only has he had his own Comedy Central Presents special, he's also been featured on Premium Blend and went on two with two of the network's tours, Chappelle's Block Party Tour and Dave Attell's Insomniac Tour. Along with those TV appearances, this Pennsylvania native has also been seen on HBO and on "Last Call with Carson Daly." Follow Joe on twitter and facebook.
