A native of Cleveland, OH, Ryan Dalton discovered after graduating from college that the entertainment industry might be right for him because it was one of the few places where a basic lack of knowledge on any subject is not only necessary, but also embraced. He uses standup comedy as a way to poke fun at controversy and the “everyday personal injustices” that are dealt with by the common man. He also tries to defend the common woman whenever possible. Mary Mack

It’s true that folk humorist Mary Mack often recounts stories of her life, but unlike your boring uncle, she does it with a guitar, up on stage and makes a living doing it. And seeing as she’s a former polka band leader, music teacher, and all-around confused individual, we’re guessing she’s got some pretty good stories. Mack won Bill Word’s California Funnies Female competition and is gaining a following across the country.
