Tony Stewart

NASCAR's Tony Stewart has made history. Not only did he recently win his third Sprint Cup Championship in one of the most exciting Chases of all time, he also became one of the first Owner/Drivers to win the championship in decades. He is the first and only driver to have won championships in stock cars, Indy cars and open-wheel Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown cars. And his three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships made him one of just 9 drivers who have scored three or more Cup titles. Tony Stewart on facebook and twitter.

Michael Oher

Michael Oher is the young man at the center of the true story depicted in The Blind Side movie (and book) that swept up awards and accolades. Though the odds were heavily stacked against him, Michael had a burning desire deep within his soul to break out of the Memphis inner-city ghetto and into a world of opportunity. While many people are now familiar with Oher's amazing journey, his new book, I Beat the Odds, is the first time he shares his account of his story in his own words, revealing his thoughts and feelings with details that only he knows, and offering his point of view on how anyone can achieve a better life. Oher currently plays offensive tackle in the NFL. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2009 draft. Oher on twitter.

Jeremy Essig

After graduating from Wake Forest University back in 2000, Jeremy Essig had a decision to make. Should he jump right back in to his studies and apply for a few more grueling years of graduate school, or should he follow his dream of performing in front of live audiences and become a stand-up comedian? The choice was simple; option number two all the way. Since making that life changing decision, Essig has developed an act that incorporates his thoughts on current events, music and religion, along with plenty of stories of his own personal failures. And judging by the stories he's told us in the past, that well isn’t running dry any time soon. Follow Jeremy on twitter

Heywood Banks

Anyone who has ever spent any time listening to the BOB&TOM show has no doubt heard a song by legendary comedian Heywood Banks. That’s because Heywood’s catalogue of classic tunes includes fan favorites like "Big Butter Jesus," "I Like Summer," "Toast," "18 Wheels on a Big Rig," "Punjab" and "Wiper Blades" just to name a few. In fact, Heywood has appeared on 36 of BOB&TOM’s comedy albums, more than any other artist by far. We’ve just been informed that Heywood may be adding to his already extensive list of songs when he visits us next. Now we’re just hoping he knows the lyrics. Check out Heywood in "GeoPirates."
