We got the morning started off right with a visit from actor and comedian David Alan Grier who shared with us some stories from his theater work and his high school fight song. We also played a rousing game of "Would You Rather." After that, we got to meet the very funny Kumail Nanjiani and Nick Rutherford.

David Alan Grier

You wouldn't know it these days, but comedian David Alan Grier actually got his start in show business as a dramatic theater actor. That all changed after meeting up with Keenan Ivory Wayans and starring in a couple of cult films and the hit TV sketch comedy show, "In Living Color." From there, Grier went on to appear in a number of sitcoms including "DAG," "Life With Bonnie" and "My Wife and Kids," and he began writing and performing standup comedy. Along with touring clubs around the country, Grier’s standup was also featured on Comedy Central as the host of "Premium Blend." He’s also hosted the shows "Chocolate News" and "Thank God You’re Here," returned to theater acting, and will appear in the films Hoodwinked Too and Something Like Business. Follow David on twitter.

Kumail Nanjiani

Comedian Kumail Nanjiani is credited as being one of the leaders of the invasion of Chicago comedians. And it's not just been the stage he's taken over, Nanjiani has also appeared all over television with stops on "Jimmy Kimmy Live," "The Colbert Report" and "The Late Show." He's also been named one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch and New York Magazine's "10 Comedians that Funny People Find Funny." And if you're into gaming and/or podcasts, he's got you covered.
