It was a day full of laughs as three comedic powerhouses joined us in the studio. Mayor Drew Hastings was in first to talk about the lighter side of politics. Followed by Nick Griffin who discussed the ins and outs of online dating. Finally Henry Phillips came in to wrap up our discussion on nudie magazines. Oh, and we had a new Granny compete in our Shoe-In of the Week. Nick Griffin
Nick Griffin began doing standup comedy back in 1987 as a way to voice his frustrations with life and to avoid having a job with a boss. Sure he may be dark, cynical, depressed and has a problem getting along with women, but Griffin is one of our absolute favorite guests and is a must see if he performs in a club near you. Nick has been featured on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," "The Late Show w/ David Letterman," "The Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson" and recently finished a brand new comedy CD "Bring Out the Monkey." Singer/songwriter and gifted guitar player Henry Phillips may be lonely and a self-professed loser, but he's also one of the most clever comedians on the planet. His songs often focus on the darker, more twisted side of life, but we still find his soft-spoken, self-deprecating personality quite adorable. Though his demeanor may lead you to believe otherwise, he's actually a fun guy to be around, especially if you enjoy gambling, drinking or gambling while drinking. In other news, Henry recently wrote and starred in the movie Punching the Clown, which can now be added to your queue on Netflix (click here to add) or purchased at Amazon.com. Follow Henry on twitter. You can also check out his new music video "He's Talkin' Again" and his new web series "Henry's Kitchen." Drew Hastings
Comedian. Farmer. Mayor. Drew Hastings' trademark comedy is both hilarious and self-deprecating. His stand up is driven by his own angst and observations on the decline of America. His Farmageddon Tour deals with his misadventures of being the most unlikely farmer you'll ever meet. As the newly-elected mayor of a Midwestern city, he's an anti-authority guy in a position of authority, making him an alternative conservative. From his critically acclaimed, one-hour comedy special, to his multiple appearances on late night television, Drew has done it all.. His Follow Drew on facebook and twitter. Buy his new "Farmageddon" special on Amazon or iTunes.
