Garry Shandling

Taking on Iron Man

Actor and Comedian Garry Shandling is best known for his top-rated, and critically acclaimed parody of late night television, “The Larry Sanders Show,” which aired on the HBO through most of the ‘90s. Before that, he was also a popular standup comedian, guest host of The Tonight Show and star of another cable series “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” on Showtime. This summer you can find Shandling in the first Hollywood blockbuster of the season, Iron Man 2, in which he plays Senator Stern, a member of congress who is focused on having Tony Start turn over the Iron Man armor to the US government. Iron Man 2 opens this Friday in theaters everywhere.

Tim Wilson

For years comedian, songwriter and philosopher, Tim Wilson has been joining us on the air and in that time has treated us to a number of classic tunes such as My Brother In-Law, I Could Be Wrong and Church League Softball Fistfight. And though he's one of our most frequent guests, it's still an adventure every time he stops by, thanks in part to his uncanny ability to find a story to go along with any topic of conversation. But as a warning, if you're even talking to Tim, try to avoid mentioning The Bible, NASCAR, credit cards or Jimmy Carter. Along with writing comedy tunes, Tim is also author having written a book, Happy New Year - ted today, about serial killer Ted Bundy. He's also just released a new digital album available for download at Amazon called Caffeine, Wired, Nervous and Pale.

Heywood Banks

Anyone who has ever spent any time listening to the BOB&TOM show has no doubt heard a song by legendary comedian Heywood Banks. That’s because Heywood’s catalogue of classic tunes includes fan favorites like "Big Butter Jesus," "I Like Summer," "Toast," "18 Wheels on a Big Rig," "Punjab" and "Wiper Blades" just to name a few. In fact, Heywood has appeared on 36 of BOB&TOM’s comedy albums, more than any other artist by far. We’ve just been informed that Heywood may be adding to his already extensive list of songs when he visits us next. Now we’re just hoping he knows the lyrics. Check out Heywood in "GeoPirates."

Dan Cummins

Though Dan Cummins' first time on stage was less than spectacular and included a number of props, a wig and a loss of self-respect, he still discovered his true calling. Fortunately for him (and for those that go to his shows) his comedy act has evolved into one that places more emphasis on sarcasm, dark intellect and making people laugh and less on props. This has helped Dan become a favorite in comedy clubs and college campuses across the country. He's also become a regular on television including appearances on "Live at Gotham," "Comedy Central Presents," "The Late, Late Show" and "Last Comic Standing." Follow Dan on Twitter and Facebook

Kenny Smith

Kenny Smith (not the one on TNT's NBA pre-game show), is a young comedian on the rise Just ask him, he’ll tell you. Already a favorite on the college circuit, Smith has been working hard and making a name for himself in comedy clubs across the country, while at the same time always keeping his eyes open for any television opportunities that may come along. So if you know anybody, make sure you give Kenny a call. Young, fresh, loaded with energy, and just a lot of fun to be around, Kenny Smith is a guy who knows how to stir things up and keep audiences roaring with laughter. All of which are import skills in the world of comedy.

Bob Zany

It's time for another exciting episode of the best joke filled, news feature hosted by a stand-up comedian named Bob Zany, The Zany Report. But the Report isn't the only thing you'll get when Bob calls in, we'll also find out where he's playing next, Bing Crosby will tell a joke, and some lucky fan will win prizes after fixing one Zany's less than successful punch lines. So you'd better tune it because it's going to be huge! In other news, Bob was recently featured in the Matt Damon film, The Informant! and is the star of the new documentary Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany which you can find here and pre-order the 2-DVD set here.
