Guests for the Week of February 29, 2016

Jeff Oskay

If funny original comedy with a heavy dose of sarcasm is what you are after, then this is the comic for you. Jeff has made finding faults in himself and others an art form. After being raised in the farmlands of Indiana, he and his comedy now reside in the heart of the “city”. Through his tales of ‘Bad Life Choices’, he shows us that we are all human and that we should all take ourselves a little less seriously. Whether you’re eighteen or eighty, you will find his comedy accessible and hilarious. His unique perspective on marriage, kids, society and life will leave you always wanting more. Jeff has had the opportunity to perform at intimate comedy clubs and five-hundred seat theaters.

Utilizing his trademark crowd work skills, Jimmy spent the last 6 years as Conan O’Brien’s opening act at “Conan” tapings. Jimmy has also appeared on “Conan” as a panel guest, a field correspondent and recently filled in as co-host. He also conducts the unconventional celebrity backstage interviews for Teamcoco.com’s “The Pardo Patrol.”

In 2006, Jimmy Pardo became a podcasting pioneer when he began hosting the raucous-but-smart weekly podcast “Never Not Funny”, which Entertainment Weekly called “one of the sharpest and gut-bustingest shows on the Internet.” The show has been named a top comedy podcast by The AV Club, Esquire, GQ and USA Today, and its guest list (Conan O’Brien, Jon Hamm, Richard Lewis, Zach Galifianakis and Sarah Silverman, just to name a few) reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood. Never Not Funny also hosts the annual Pardcast-a-Thon fundraiser, a 12-hour marathon webcast to benefit Smile Train. To date, the Pardcast-a-Thons have raised over half a million dollars for the charity.

Chris Bowers
Bowers is a regular guest host on the nationally syndicated radio program The Bob & Tom Show.  He’s the host of Trial By Laughter on Comcast and he’s appeared on Fox’s standup comedy show Laughs.

Starting as a motivational speaker in Middle Schools, he quickly learned to control and entertain any audience.  His comedy challenges conventional wisdom and forces audiences to look at the world from his own skewed perspective.  He’s part life coach, part cruise director, and part marriage counselor.  While many comedians present a negative outlook on life and commiserate with their audience, Bowers is a hilarious force of positivity.

Shaun Latham

Shaun Latham incites uncontrollable laughter in audiences with his no-holds-barred brand of observational humor and riffs on dating, discount sites, hip hop culture, and other everyday life situations and scenarios.

With his first big screen appearance in the independent film “I’m Not Like That No More” alongside Paul Rodriguez and Felipe Esparza in 2009, Shaun showed his range as an all-around performer.
In 2013, Shaun was a featured headliner on NUVOtv’s “Stand up and Deliver” season 2, as well as an invited guest to the first ever Oslo, Norway Comedy Festival.

Gabriel Iglesias is a huge fan of Shaun’s talents and gave him the “Fluffy” stamp of approval by bringing him on the road for 2 international tours. (Fluffyshop, Stand up Revolution).  Shaun made his Network television premiere on Season 1 of Comedy Central’s “Stand Up Revolution” and was brought back for a second appearance on Season 3 in 2014.

Shaun was named #2 in  “OC WEEKLY’s top 5 comics to watch” in 2015!  “Shaun has the gift for gab on the stage and never fails to cap on audience members with the greatest of wit-filled ease. Our advice? Stop what you’re doing and get on board with #TeamLazyEye. You won’t be sorry.” – Ali Lerman, OC Weekly.

With a perfect balance of polished act and incredible crowd-work, Shaun Latham will absolutely provide you with a show full of side-splitting laughter and great next day water cooler-conversation!

Ralph Harris

Ralph Harris is one of today’s hottest comedic and acting talents! He recently served as the Host of the Culinary Competition, “My Momma Throws Down” on the TVOne network. Ralph-Cutout 5 copy 2Not one to slow down, Ralph has continued his film career momentum, immediately landing his second feature role in the film EVAN ALMIGHTY starring Steve Carell and Wanda Sykes.

No stranger to late night, Ralph has been featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. However Ralph is probably best known for his starring role in the ABC-TV sitcom “On Our Own” which aired during the immensely popular TGIF block on Friday nights, and which currently airs in syndication on TVOne.

You can also catch Ralph on TV in airings of his two previously recorded Cable TV specials – Comedy Central Presents and the HBO Half-Hour Comedy Special.

When he’s not filming, Ralph continues to tour the country and perform to sold-out audiences as a stand-up comedian, his first career and love. Ralph’s comedy is character driven, and is influenced by many of the greats, including his idols Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Redd Foxx, Jonathan Winters and the list goes on.

Born and raised in Philadelphia… Ralph spends what little time he’s not on the road performing, at home in Los Angeles.

When in Los Angeles, he can often be seen performing at the legendary Hollywood Improv ImprovLogo.jpg

No stranger to the internets, Gleib’s online videos have received a total of more than 16 MILLION VIEWS. In 2010 he did comedic news pieces for Myspace. This was the first time they ever gave anyone a talent deal, and his videos were reviewed as “The best thing Myspace has ever done.”

In 2006 he sold a pilot called THE GLEIB SHOW to FOX fox_tv_logo-med-small_1.jpg produced by Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels and NBC/Universal. Before that “The Gleib Show” ran for 3 seasons as the #1 show on the National Lampoon Network, airing to millions of college students across the country. And even before that, he did it for 4 years in college, at The University of California, San Diego, where his show was the subject of his Honors Thesis, and even became a class that students could take for 4 units. This helped several of his friends graduate. He was asked to speak at his graduation, and filled it with lots of inappropriate jokes and a Bill Clinton impression.

An LA native, Gleib is a unique voice in comedy, known for a wide range of material, and lightening quick improvisational skills. A versatile performer, he recently shot several other pilots, including a pilot for FOX called Naked But Funny,” WTF?” for GSN, a BET improv comedy show called “Get It In” on which he was the only white cast member, and “CQC” a comedic news show where he got to mess with with Barack Obama, Bill & Hillary Clinton, and ruined a John McCain press conference, getting kicked out by the secret service. He has performed in the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the Laughing Matters Festival in the Netherlands, and was selected “Best of the Fest” at the Just For Laughs Chicago Comedy Festival. He has also performed with The Satiristas, alongside Janeane Garofalo, and Henry Rollins.

In 2006 he released his first comedy album, titled “NOT AVAILABLE IN STORES.” His second album is due out soon. As soon as he can decide on a title.

Random facts include… when he was still in college he pranked his way onto THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, and a memorable episode of BLIND DATE, pretending he was an Israeli guy with no social skills, and had one of the most awkward dates ever. For his college talk show, Carmen Electra was his last guest, and Gleib was featured all over her E! True Hollywood Story.

He is proudest that he is probably better than you at ping pong.
